Key Responsibilities

- Support sustaining engineering activities for PCBAs used in tape automation systems.

- Investigate manufacturing, field, and supplier-related electrical issues.

- Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods.

- Assist with component obsolescence management and identification of alternate components.

- Support engineering change orders (ECOs), documentation updates, and product revisions.

- Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to resolve production and test-related issues.

- Analyze electrical failures and coordinate corrective actions with cross-functional teams.

- Assist in qualification and validation of component substitutions, PCBA changes, and revised assemblies.

- Review schematics, bills of material (BOMs), test reports, and manufacturing documentation.

- Support failure analysis activities, reliability improvement efforts, and product continuation projects.

- Participate in design reviews and manufacturing readiness assessments.

- Develop and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation.

- Collaborate with quality, sourcing, service, product engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure continued product performance and manufacturability.


Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- 0-5 years of relevant experience. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics.

- Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics and electronic component documentation.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with manufacturing and lab environments.


Preferred Qualifications

- Internship, co-op, senior project, or lab experience involving electronics or PCBAs.

- Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or other electrical lab equipment.

- Familiarity with Altium, OrCAD, Cadence, or similar ECAD tools.

- Exposure to electronics manufacturing, reliability testing, failure analysis, or manufacturing test.

- Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and engineering change processes.
