Scope of Position

As the Eastern Regional Sales Manager, Superior Boiler, you will drive sales in existing markets of the Superior Boiler brand. You will identify strategies for targeting new market opportunities while generating sales through an existing representative network and facilitating inter-department cooperation to ensure market feedback is incorporated into brand strategies.
 

This position reports to the Sales Director, Superior Boiler. This role is remote and is based in the eastern United States.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of sales activities in specified region to grow sales and establish/maintain market leadership.

  • Recognize and lead business opportunities in all markets using established sales channels.

  • Develop and implement sales plans to accommodate regional, brand, and divisional goals.

  • Prepare periodic sales reports highlighting initiative success, representative participation, opportunities for growth, and other objective metrics to illustrate regional performance.

  • Develop and share industry profiles within key vertical markets to help guide strategy and focus for business development initiatives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in steam, hot water boilers and combustion technology; identify new product ideas and evaluate potential.

  • Serve as the main contact for representatives within the defined region and facilitate interaction between internal and external resources.

  • Collaborate with product management, marketing, and representatives to provide enhanced product presentations and application assistance tailored to market needs.

  • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Director, Superior Boiler or Company management.

  • Demonstrate Watts values of integrity, accountability, continuous improvement, and transparency in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to field sites anticipated at approximately 50%, with understanding that travel may flex based on regional requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree; in absence of degree, may consider relevant work experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in consultative/value-based technical sales management.

  • Verifiable record of growing market share in technical sales.

  • Industry experienced professional capable of providing technical insight into Watts product line and solutions offerings; familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience independently negotiating sales activities to promote brand sales while enforcing brand policies.

  • Mechanical drafting abilities.

  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.

  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS degree in a technical discipline preferred.

  • Previous experience with combustion technologies will be a significant advantage.

Working Conditions

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment and may occasionally be required to work in both office and manufacturing environments. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office or at field sites for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management. You may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently walk, talk, and/or hear.

  • Ability to occasionally stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.

  • Ability to communicate clearly with management, coworkers, representatives, and customers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this position is $115,000 -$144,000 yearly plus a sales commission package based on meeting sales targets. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
