Title: D365 F&O Technical Solution Enginer
Location: Remote, US
Travel Expectations: up to 25%
The Technical Solution Engineer will work directly with the Technical Solution Architect to provide technical deliverables during the full lifecycle of a Dynamics 365 implementation. This includes pre-sales, solution engineering, project estimation, business requirement analysis, functional design, technical design, and on-going activities related to deployment and deployment phases of the project. This person will have a strong overall knowledge of both the functional and technical aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365, the Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Technical Solution Architect to ensure that all deadlines related to technical aspects of the Dynamics 365 implementations, upgrades, extensions, or additional post go-live support inquiries are either met or exceeded.
- Developing customizations for pre-sales activities as needed
- Developing and/or creating proof of concerts for integrations between the Dynamics Platforms and external applications utilizing the Microsoft Azure stack
- Plan and support the execution of data migration into Dynamics 365 and Dataverse utilizing tools such as the Data Management Framework and Azure Data Factory
- Work closely with the functional team to create requirements documents that will be used by developers for customizing Dynamics 365.
- Supports and mentor's developers as questions or issues arise.
- Communicate development guidelines to both internal and external development resources
- Managing the CI/CD efforts
- Document customer environment specifications
- Deploy and/or copy new Dynamics 365environments as needed throughout the project
- Engage the project team and end-users to architect and develop Dynamics 365 solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, experience, and certification
- 1+ year of experience installing and/or troubleshooting Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps
- 1+ year of experience troubleshooting Dynamics 365 Power Platform applications
- 2+ years of proven expertise customizing Dynamics 365
- 3-5 years technical experience with .NET, X++, C#, and SQL
- 3-5 years technical experience with ERP software
- Proven expertise utilizing Azure Logic Apps/Power Automate
- Proven project experience writing custom services and creating data entities
- Proven project experience modifying or creating new reports using SQL Server Reporting Services
- Understanding of Dynamics 365 and Common Data Model data structures
- 1 full lifecycle Dynamics 365 implementation
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Architecture
- Proven expertise utilizing Azure Logic Apps/Power Automate flows
- Acquired one or more functional certifications within Dynamics 365
- Acquired Dynamics 365: Finance and Operations Apps Developer certification
- Acquired Microsoft Power Platform Developer certification
