Niyam is seeking a Drafter to join our team. This position is remote, and will require the employee to live in a HUB zone. This position is for 10 hours a week. If you are looking for a few extra hours a week this may be the job for you. The position of a Drafter is integral to operations, combining strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail. Responsible for creating Excel report templates, organizing and maintaining files, and reviewing standard operating procedures (SOPs), the Drafter ensures accuracy and consistency throughout project documentation and reporting processes. Key responsibilities include supporting quality control reviews, formatting and checking reports, and maintaining well-organized digital records.


Beyond these core duties, the Drafter assists with tracking project milestones, preparing supporting materials for reviews, and ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards. The Drafter proactively manages assigned tasks while working under structured guidance from supervisors and project managers, contributing to process improvements and operational efficiency.

 

Competencies

  • Previous experience in drafting and quality assurance roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including building templates and using formulas.
  • Organized and able to manage and structure digital files efficiently.
  • Comfortable reviewing SOPs and technical documents for clarity and completeness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working under structured guidance while proactively handling assigned deliverables.
  • Basic project coordination or task management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Excel report templates to support tracking and reporting needs.
  • Organize and manage project files and documentation for accessibility and accuracy.
  • Review and perform quality checks on SOPs and related project documents.
  • Track project milestones and coordinate receipt of materials from team members and partners.
  • Assist with drafting and formatting documentation, ensuring consistency and compliance with standards.
  • Maintain detailed records and support process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and project managers to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must live in a Hub Zone
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related role

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role.
