Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay Range: $30.25 to $34.77 per hour

 

Important Location Information:

  • This Reno-area Distribution Center is located in McCarran, Nevada, off USA Parkway. Candidates should be comfortable with the daily commute on USA Parkway and are encouraged to review the work location before applying.

OmniCable, LLC (OmniCable), a leading North American redistributor of wire and cable, is seeking a Distribution Center Lead to support daily warehouse operations, order fulfillment, employee development, and safe, consistent execution. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads by example, balances multiple priorities, and helps the team deliver accurate and timely customer orders.

In this role, you will directly contribute to distribution center performance by helping the team process orders safely, accurately, and efficiently. Your leadership supports customer satisfaction, employee development, operational throughput, and a consistent day-to-day experience across the facility.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Process daily customer orders safely, accurately, and efficiently while balancing multiple priorities throughout the day.
  • Become a subject-matter expert in all areas of Distribution Center operations, including receiving, picking, cutting, striping, shipping, and carrier selection.
  • Support the Distribution Center Manager with facilities management, safety, security, equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
  • Provide day-to-day direction and lead the team in the Distribution Center Manager’s absence, as needed.
  • Partner with local and national sales teams to ensure customer-specific order requirements are completed accurately, on time, and as promised.
  • Assist with employee training and development while reinforcing established procedures, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Open and close the facility, as needed, and perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Keeps daily workflow moving by prioritizing work and supporting efficient throughput.
  • Reinforces safe work practices and consistent adherence to operating procedures.
  • Builds team capability through hands-on training, clear communication, and lead-by-example support.
  • Effectively coordinates with the Distribution Center Manager, sales teams, and warehouse employees.

 

Work Environment & Schedule

  • On-site at 1500 Waltham Way, Suite 1, McCarran, NV 89437, off USA Parkway.
  • Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Overtime or occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.
  • Work is performed in a distribution center environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods; bend, twist, and lift throughout the workday; and lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience using RF technology and computerized Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, energetic team player with strong communication skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet the physical demands of the role.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse or distribution center leadership experience.
  • Experience with wire processing, inventory control, shipping, receiving, or related distribution operations.
  • Experience training employees or providing day-to-day work direction.
