Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced tax technology professional to join the growing bet365 US Tax function in Denver, Colorado. This newly created Director of Tax Technology role reports directly to the Vice President of Tax and Tax Counsel and serves as a member of the US Tax function’s leadership team.
This role entails owning all tax technology matters for the bet365 US operating group while also partnering with the UK Tax team on all tax technology matters globally. Additionally, the Director of Tax Technology will serve as the primary tax business partner for all tax impacting product, technology, and data initiatives. This role represents an excellent growth opportunity within the highly dynamic and technically challenging US online gaming industry.
The salary range for this is $215,000 - $300,000 annually.
Qualifications- 8+ years of overall professional technical and/or technology experience within relevant technical subject matter areas (e.g., tax, accounting, finance, legal, payroll, etc.).
- 4+ years of tax technology experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology or a related field.
- Experience partnering with technical subject matter experts to draft detailed technology business requirements is required.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
- Significant participation in large scale technology implementation projects is required.
- Experience leading finance or tax transformation initiatives and technology implementation projects is a significant advantage.
- Experience directly developing and deploying technology solutions using data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, KNIME, Data Bricks, RedShift, etc.) is a significant advantage
- Prior experience in technical tax roles is a major plus.
- Gaming industry or other highly regulated industry experience is a plus.
- Partnering with the Vice President of Tax and Tax Counsel and the other members of the tax leadership team to develop and deploy the future vision for the US Tax function.
- Owning all US tax technology matters including spearheading the development and implementation of a holistic tax technology strategy.
- Coordinating with the wider global tax team on tax technology matters.
- Serving as the primary tax business partner for all tax impacting product, technology, and data transformation and implementation initiatives.
- Partnering with tax technical teams to identify technology needs, develop business requirements, and implement solutions.
- Overseeing all tax data management and warehousing needs, including record retention and disclosure requirements.
- Analyzing tax data to support strategic decision making and audit defense.
- Owning testing, change management, and maintenance for all tax technologies.
- Monitoring the evolving tax technology landscape and continuously upskilling as needed to integrate emerging technology solutions into holistic tax technology strategy.
- Developing and deploying a tax technology upskilling program to help train and support other members of the tax function.
