About The Role:

The Solutions Consultant role at LINQ is a key position responsible for effectively communicating and demonstrating the value of LINQ as a partner to K-12 Education. The Director, Solutions Consulting leads and scales this team, setting the strategic direction for how LINQ’s presales organization partners with Sales to enhance the buyer journey and contribute to closing and retaining business.   

At LINQ, we prioritize our culture, and as the Director, Solutions Consulting, you will lead a close-knit team of presales professionals. You will also have the opportunity to partner closely with some of the best sales representatives and leaders in the K-12 technology space.   

In this role, you will enjoy a flexible working environment, engaging in various tasks such as setting SC strategy and methodology, collaborating on market messaging, understanding the needs of clients and prospects, coaching your team on persuasive storytelling, and personally engaging on LINQ's most strategic opportunities.   

As the Director, Solutions Consulting, you will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and be seen as a trusted advisor and leader within the organization. You bring a genuine “Demo to Win” mindset — understanding that a winning demonstration blends storytelling, technical credibility, and stakeholder alignment — and you build a team culture where SCs collaborate closely with Sales, each other, and every function they touch. Your responsibilities will include building and leading the SC team, partnering with sales leadership on opportunity strategy, overseeing the RFP/RFI response process, owning SC tools and enablement, and fostering collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Services.  

What You’ll Be Doing:   

  • Build, lead, and scale the Solutions Consulting team, providing coaching, career development, and performance management.  
  • Own the strategic vision and operating model for how Solutions Consultants engage with Sales throughout the buyer journey.  
  • Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize SC resources against pipeline opportunities and align coverage with deal stage and strategic value.  
  • Represent the Solutions Consulting function within the sales leadership team, reporting on team capacity, win/loss trends, and competitive intelligence.  
  • Personally engage on LINQ's most strategic, complex, or executive-level opportunities, delivering or overseeing high-stakes presentations and demonstrations.  
  • Establishand continuously refine SC methodology, playbooks, demo environments, and enablement content in partnership with Marketing, Product, and Sales Enablement.   
  • Maintainworking knowledge of K-12 regulatory and compliance considerations, including FERPA, COPPA, and state-specific assessment and reporting requirements, to ensure proposed solutions meet district obligations.   
  • Guide districts through data interoperability and integration considerations, such as SSO (SAML/OIDC), API management, Ed-Fi, andOneRoster, translating fragmented systems into a clear, connected path forward.  
  • Champion outcome-based, persona-specific demonstrations for stakeholders ranging from superintendents and CIOs to Business Officers and Nutrition Directors, tying every demo to the metrics that matter most to that audience.  
  • Help sales teams navigate complex public-sector procurement processes and build consensus across diverse district stakeholder groups.  
  • Develop standardized demo runbooks, reusable assets, and objection-handling tools that raise the consistency and win rate of the entire SC team.  
  • Build a structured feedback loop between the field and Product/Engineering, ensuring market and competitive insightsinformthe roadmap.   
  • Own RFP/RFI response strategy and quality standards, including executive summary production, in partnership with the proposal team.  
  • Partner with Sales,RevOps, and Services leadership to ensure smooth handoffs of complex sales to Implementation and Customer Success.  
  • Set hiring plans, interview and select new Solutions Consultants, and lead onboarding and ramp for new team members.  
  • Develop and track team metrics, such as win rates, SCutilization, and deal cycle impact, todemonstrate the function's value and inform resourcing decisions.   
  • Address complex, escalated questions from existing and potential clients that require executive-level engagement.  
  • Travel isrequired, ranging from 25-50% and occasionally on short notice, to support strategic opportunities, team development, and conferences.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  

What We Are Looking For:                                            

  • Proven experience leading, hiring, and developing a Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, or presales team, ideally within K-12, education technology, or enterprise SaaS.  
  • Deep experience with ERP, Nutrition, orPaymentssoftware, with the technical fluency, business acumen, and project management skills to guide complex solution discussions.   
  • Track record of partnering with Sales leadership to build and executepresalesstrategy that improves win rates and shortens sales cycles.   
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to deliver and coach othersoncompelling, visionary presentations.   
  • Experience building or refining SCmethodology, tools, and enablement programs.  
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across a distributed team supporting multiple product lines simultaneously.  
  • Demonstratesexceptional cross-functional leadership, building trusted relationships with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Services leadership.  
  • Working knowledge of K-12 compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FERPA, COPPA) and the day-to-day priorities of superintendents, CIOs, Business Officers, and Nutrition Directors.  
  • Familiarity with K-12 data interoperability standards and integration patterns (SSO/SAML/OIDC, APIs, Ed-Fi,OneRoster) sufficient to guide technical conversations with district IT leaders.  
  • A collaborative, team-first leadership style — someone who teams well across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Services and builds trust quickly.

  • Background in K-12 education or education technology, with excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to influence at the executive level.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of $145,000-$150,000 + commission
