Summary/Objective

This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in a specified geographic region or a specified market segment, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through support staff as needed. This role is also responsible for engaging end clients and preferred dealers to generate sales revenue and meet/exceed annual sales goals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Develops and maintains account strategies and responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
  2. Generates and increases sales revenue to meet assigned targets and/or assigned geography. This includes the maintenance of awarded accounts by the company.
  3. Becomes actively involved in sales orientation and development of sales training programs.
  4. Acts as a resource to clients and consultants in contract opportunities and proposals. 
  5. Assists executive team with negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for client accounts.
  6. Provides reports and status updates, including managing salesforce and employee maintenance of salesforce.
  7. Attends trade shows and manages trade show attendance when required. 
  8. Keeps informed and ensures that their team is informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
  9. Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining clients.
  10. Ensures that accurate project kick-off documentation is provided to the project management team.
  11. Produces quotes in salesforce
  12. Assists in packaging RFPs

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

This job generally operates in a home office environment. Some travel to company offices is required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and unless otherwise specified, hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires up to 70% travel. Frequently, travel is outside the local area and overnight.

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. At least 5 years of field sales experience
  2. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
