Team Overview

The Director of Sales - Property & Casualty Insurance is a strategic sales leader with expertise in the P&C insurance market and a history of exceeding revenue objectives through consultative, solution-based selling. Skilled in building high-performing teams, managing complex enterprise opportunities, and driving business growth through strong client partnerships and market insight. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Sales. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Role Overview and Core Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy in collaboration with the Vice President of Sales, Product, Market Planning, and Strategy teams.
  • Translate strategic goals into actionable plans that drive both short- and long-term revenue growth.

Player/Coach Sales Execution

  • Personally lead sales efforts for high-value, strategic accounts, including opportunity development, proposal strategy, and client engagement.
  • Serve as a role model in sales excellence, demonstrating best practices in client relationship management and deal execution.

Team Development & Coaching

  • Attract, develop, and retain top sales talent.
  • Provide structured coaching, feedback, and career development through regular 1:1s, team meetings, and personalized growth plans.

Opportunity Creation & Pipeline Management

  • Guide the team in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities aligned with client needs and market trends.
  • Ensure a healthy, well-qualified pipeline that supports revenue targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with internal teams including Legal, Product Development, and Marketing to align go-to-market strategies and client solutions.
  • Share market insights and client feedback to inform product innovation and strategic planning.

Required Knowledge and Experiences


  • 10+ years of successful sales experience with at least 5 years in a sales leadership or management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven success selling data, analytics, SaaS, fraud, risk, claims, underwriting, or customer acquisition solutions to Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carriers.
  • Deep knowledge of the P&C insurance industry, including underwriting, claims, risk management, carrier operations, distribution channels, and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing sales teams, consistently exceed revenue goals, and drive growth through strategic account planning and complex enterprise sales.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with a track record of building executive-level relationships and influencing C-suite, business, and operational stakeholders.
  • Experienced in pipeline forecasting, territory management, and CRM-driven sales execution, with a history of coaching talent and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver customer and business outcomes.

Pay Scale Information:

The pay range for this position is $94,000.00 - $185,000 annually. This position is eligible for both base pay and commission earnings. TransUnion commission targets are generally 20% – 50% of base salary and may vary based on position. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
