            Maybell Quantum is seeking an exceptional Product Manager to lead our hardware product strategy and drive the development of cutting-edge cryogenic systems for quantum computing applications. Our ideal team member is a technical leader with deep domain expertise in cryogenic systems who can translate complex scientific requirements into market-leading products. They possess a strong R&D background, excellent technical communication skills, and can effectively bridge the gap between advanced research and commercial product development in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute comprehensive product strategy for cryogenic systems, aligning technical capabilities with market opportunities to enable high growth trajectory
 
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between R&D, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver competitive products on schedule
 
- Conduct deep technical market analysis to identify customer needs, competitive positioning, and emerging technology trends
 
- Partner with R&D leadership to translate research breakthroughs into commercially viable product roadmaps
 
- Work closely with engineering teams to establish product specifications, performance targets, and design requirements for cryogenic systems
 
- Engage directly with key customers and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and validate product concepts
 
- Drive go-to-market strategies, including technical positioning, competitive differentiation, and customer education initiatives
 
- Oversee product lifecycle management from concept through commercialization and end-of-life planning
 
- Lead technical product discussions with customers, partners, and industry experts at conferences and technical forums
 
- Establish product performance metrics and success criteria aligned with business objectives
 
- Mentor and develop product management capabilities within the organization
 
Basic Qualifications
- Ph.D. in physics, mechanical engineering, or related field with focus on cryogenic systems or quantum technologies
 
- 7+ years of professional experience in product management or related technical roles in the hardware space
 
- 3+ years of hands-on R&D experience in cryogenic systems, quantum computing, or adjacent deep tech fields
 
- Proven track record of scaling product organizations and bringing complex hardware products from concept to market in high-growth environments
 
- Experience leading product development in fast-growth hardware startups with rapid iteration cycles and resource constraints
 
- Deep understanding of cryogenic system design, performance characteristics, and application requirements
 
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 10+ years combined experience in R&D and product management within quantum computing, cryogenics, or scientific instrumentation
 
- Demonstrated success scaling product teams and processes in high-growth hardware startups - Series A through IPO experience preferred
 
- Experience managing rapid product development cycles with aggressive timelines and evolving market requirements
 
- Track record of building product management function from ground up in fast-scaling organizations
 
- Direct experience with dilution refrigerators, pulse tube systems, or related cryogenic technologies
 
- Strong publication record or patent portfolio in relevant technical areas
 
- Experience managing product portfolios with complex customer requirements and compressed development cycles in startup environments
 
- MBA or equivalent business experience
 - Experience working with government, academic, and commercial research customers while managing rapid organizational growth
 
Base salary: $120,000 - $220,000
