About the position

The Director of Product Management will lead and oversee the product management team, ensuring the successful development, launch, and continuous improvement of the company's products. This role is pivotal in driving the product vision, strategy, and execution, aligning them with the overall business goals. The Director of Product Management will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet market needs and enhance customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on market demand, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Identify new market opportunities and ensure the product strategy supports business growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the product management team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Provide guidance and support in managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.

Product Strategy & Vision:

Leadership & Team Management:

    • Provide guidance and support in managing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.

Product Development & Execution:

    • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
    • Lead the product development process, including ideation, requirements gathering, feature prioritization, and release planning.
    • Monitor and analyze product performance, making data-driven decisions to iterate and improve products

Market & Customer Focus:

    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay informed of industry trends and maintain a competitive edge.
    • Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring the products meet their needs and expectations.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, acting as a product evangelist.

Go-to-Market Strategy:

    • Work closely with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop and execute effective go-to-market strategies.
    • Ensure clear and compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
    • Support the sales team with product training, sales tools, and customer presentations as needed.

Financial & Operational Management:

    • Manage the product management budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product success, such as customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
    • Continuously improve product management processes and tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field; MS, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing products to market and driving growth in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding of product management best practices, including agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience working in a [specific industry or technology, if applicable].

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced, collaborative work environment.
  • May require occasional travel to meet with customers, partners, or attend industry events.
