About the Role
The Director of Procurement will lead and scale company-wide sourcing strategies.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic, hands-on procurement leader to build the function from the ground up. You’ll own vendor management, drive cost efficiency, and collaborate across the business, all while working where you work best.
What You’ll Accomplish
- Design & Build a Scalable Procurement Function: Architect and implement sourcing strategies, policies, and systems that support Attentive’s growth and enable disciplined, transparent spend management
- Lead Contract Negotiations: Own key negotiations across software, infrastructure, and professional services. Drive favorable terms and outcomes aligned with our goals and risk tolerance
- Partner Across the Business: Work closely with stakeholders in Finance, Legal, IT, and department leaders to align procurement decisions with broader company strategy
- Bring Analytical Rigor to Vendor Decisions: Use market research and data to inform vendor selection, renewals, and spend optimization. Deliver insights that support smart, scalable growth
- Drive Supplier Performance: Build and manage strong relationships with key vendors. Monitor KPIs, enforce accountability, and identify opportunities to improve cost and service
- Streamline Processes & Tools: Establish tools and workflows to ensure compliance, improve transparency, and make it easier for teams to engage with procurement
- Lead Change from Anywhere: Whether you're deep in a spreadsheet or on Zoom with a vendor in another time zone, your proactive mindset and hands-on leadership will define how procurement operates at Attentive
Your Expertise
- 8+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, ideally in a high-growth SaaS or tech environment
- Strong background negotiating complex enterprise contracts
- Excellent executive presence, with the ability to confidently engage, influence, and align with senior leadership
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; you can distill complex decisions clearly and build trust across levels
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with strong business judgment
- Comfortable building new processes and systems in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (CPSM, CPM) a plus
- Must be US-based and able to work effectively in a remote-first team

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000 - $250,000 annually + equity + benefits
- Equity is a substantial part of the total compensation package
