About the Role:
FareHarbor is seeking a Director, People Operations and Total Rewards to lead the development and delivery of scalable people operations across our global organization. This role will oversee the full scope of HR operations - including HR technology, data and analytics, compensation, benefits, and employee support programs. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in building operational excellence, enabling technology, and aligning total rewards with company goals and employee needs.
What you’ll do here:
HR Operations- Oversee the delivery of core HR operations across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across global regions (U.S., Netherlands, Australia).
- Lead the development of scalable HR processes and service models in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure a high-quality employee experience by supporting effective, timely resolution of HR inquiries and transactions.
- Provide strategic oversight of HR systems, including Workday, in close partnership with our parent company, Booking.com.
- Lead initiatives that enhance system capabilities, enable user self-service, and improve integration across platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, system security, and compliance with privacy and governance standards.
- Collaborate globally to advocate for FareHarbor’s HR technology needs within a shared infrastructure.
- Drive the development and execution of HR data and analytics strategies that deliver clear, actionable insights to inform decisions across the employee lifecycle.
- Synthesize data into executive-ready reporting and dashboards to inform workforce planning, talent strategy, and organizational health.
- Guide the use of metrics such as turnover, engagement, compensation trends, and headcount trends to drive decision-making across the HR function.
- Oversee compliance with regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EEO, OSHA), while expanding the analytics function beyond compliance to drive strategic insight.
- Lead the design and delivery of global total rewards program that reflect FareHarbors values and align with our evolving business strategy while collaborating closely with our parent company, Booking.com, to support and align with this philosophy
- Oversee the full annual compensation cycle - including benchmarking, pay modeling, and merit/incentive planning - in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain job architecture frameworks that support internal alignment, career progression, and a consistent compensation philosophy.
- Equip leaders with the tools and insights needed to manage compensation decisions confidently and transparently.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for all total rewards programs.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team responsible for HR systems, operations, data/analytics, and total rewards.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and Booking.com to ensure alignment of processes and priorities.
- Serve as a trusted partner to the VP of HR and broader leadership team in advancing the people strategy through operational excellence.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including team leadership and ownership of HR operations, systems, or total rewards.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master’s or certification (e.g., SHRM, CCP) preferred.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and leveraging data for decision-making.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of global HR practices, compliance, and compensation program design.

Salary Range: $132,720-$199,080, plus 20% bonus potential
