We’re Cubby Beds 👋
A fast-growing and high-impact startup that makes smart beds for people with cognitive conditions like Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Dementia and Autism. Our mission is to improve the lives of special needs kids and their families through our innovative products and go to market strategies. Since launch, we have changed the lives of thousands of families, been insurance covered in all 50 states, achieved profitability, and are building a growing team in our Denver HQ.
The next stage of the business is all about scaling our team, product, systems, and customer journey to help thousands more families get the safe sleep they deserve.
This is where you come in
Every family that needs Cubby but hasn’t found us yet represents both a missed business outcome and a child without the safe sleep they deserve. The Director of Marketing exists to close that gap, by building an integrated, analytically-driven marketing strategy across B2C, DTC, and B2B channels that creates a predictable path from awareness to conversion. The ability to double our conversion rate and reach our most qualified families has the potential to double the size of Cubby, and this leader will be the driving force behind that outcome.
This is a senior, strategic leadership role that sits at the intersection of brand, performance, and cross-functional execution. The Director of Marketing will own Cubby’s entire marketing function: setting direction, building and developing the team, and ensuring every marketing initiative ties directly to measurable business outcomes. This person reports directly to the VP of Growth and serves as a trusted strategic partner to executive leadership.
What you’re walking into: A small, high-impact marketing team of 2 full time employees, 2 contractors, 2 agencies, a meaningful budget ($1M+ annually) that scales with results, and real momentum to build on. The channel mix spans DTC (our strongest foundation), B2C awareness, and a growing B2B motion targeting payers, providers, and DME suppliers. The core stack includes Salesforce, Google Analytics, and marketing automation tooling, with room to build as the function scales. This isn’t a start-from-scratch role, it’s a scale-what’s-working role.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
Develop and own an integrated marketing strategy across B2C, DTC, and B2B channels with defined KPIs, forecasting models, and a consistent reporting cadence that keeps leadership aligned on performance and pipeline health.
Map and optimize the full customer journey using data, marketing automation, CRM (Salesforce), and analytics platforms (Google Analytics) to improve conversion from awareness through close.
Build and lead a high-performing marketing team with clearly defined roles, measurable KPIs, and a culture of focus, accountability, and professional growth.
Own and optimize multi-channel campaign execution across paid search, paid social, email/SMS, and programmatic to drive lead generation and conversion across Cubby’s B2B2C sales journey.
Own end-to-end positioning, messaging, and brand identity across B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring Cubby resonates with the families who need us most, particularly those navigating complex care decisions.
Partner with Sales to develop B2B content (white papers, case studies, sales enablement) and strategically position Cubby’s offerings across payers, providers, DMEs, and end users.
Lead Go-To-Market strategy for new product launches, including naming, messaging, asset development, and cross-functional coordination.
Here’s what we’re looking for
You will have at least
7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership role with full ownership of a marketing function and a team.
Proven track record of building and executing integrated marketing strategies across B2C, DTC, and B2B channels with measurable business outcomes (revenue growth, conversion improvement, pipeline development).
Demonstrated experience mapping and optimizing complex, multi-stakeholder customer journeys using data; proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Google Analytics or equivalent platforms required.
Proven ability to hire, manage, and develop a team of 3+ marketing specialists with clearly defined roles and measurable KPIs.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to build forecasting models, interpret performance data, and use insights to drive strategic decisions.
Hands-on campaign management experience across at least 3–4 paid and owned channels (paid search, paid social, email/SMS, programmatic).
AI fluency: treats AI tools as a force multiplier across content, analytics, campaign optimization, and reporting, not as a novelty.
Strategic thinking: can see where the business needs to go, build the plan to get there, and bring others along. Connects day-to-day marketing decisions to long-term revenue outcomes.
Track record of developing people: coaches direct reports to grow and delivers measurable improvement across the team.
We hope you also have
Experience in a B2B2C, healthcare, or similarly complex sales environment with multiple stakeholder types.
Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives from kickoff through execution.
Extremely organized with strong attention to detail across complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to translate complex marketing strategy into clear, actionable terms for any audience.
A steady, clear-headed presence when priorities compete and stakes are high.
