Role Summary

The Director, Marketing Operations serves as the primary bridge between Spring Fertility’s marketing strategy and clinic-level execution. This role owns the operating model that turns campaigns, patient education initiatives, and local market growth priorities into clear, actionable plans that drive patient volume, improve the patient journey, and strengthen community engagement.

As a strategic partner to Growth Marketing, Physician Liaisons, clinical stakeholders, and local clinic teams, this leader ensures marketing initiatives are operationally feasible, consistently implemented, and measured against clinical volume and conversion goals. The role also oversees clinic readiness for campaigns, clinical volume KPI reporting, and patient education workflows in partnership with clinical teams.

This role will manage Spring’s Community Manager, providing strategic direction, prioritization, and oversight for community-based provider, partner, and local network engagement initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Marketing & Clinic Operations Partnership

  • Serve as the primary point of connection between marketing and clinic/practice operations, translating campaigns, promotions, and market initiatives into clear, executable plans at the clinic level.
  • Partner with local clinic leadership and front-desk/patient coordinator teams to ensure campaigns, offers, and patient-facing materials are implemented consistently and on time.
  • Anticipate and resolve operational barriers — staffing, scheduling capacity, intake process, physical space — that affect marketing's ability to activate campaigns in clinic.
  • Build repeatable playbooks and toolkits that help clinic teams execute national and local marketing campaigns with minimal friction.
  • Support new clinic openings, market expansions, and local growth initiatives by developing marketing activation plans that account for clinic readiness, capacity, local relationships, and patient demand goals.

Campaign Activation & Cross-Functional Process

  • Own the operational brand calendar connecting marketing campaigns, clinic capacity, and local market readiness, ensuring initiatives are planned, resourced, and sequenced effectively.
  • Own the operating model, standards, processes, and success measures for marketing’s engagement with clinic and clinical teams, providing direction to execution partners involved in local activation.
  • Create and operationalize patient acquisition campaigns and programs that connect growth marketing strategy to clinic-level execution, drive qualified demand, and support market-specific patient volume goals.
  • Lead post-campaign reviews that assess in-clinic execution and clinical volume impact, capturing lessons that improve future activations.

Clinical Volume KPI Ownership & Reporting

  • Own clinical volume KPIs on behalf of the marketing department, including new patient volume, appointment conversion, and clinic-level demand by market.
  • Translate clinical volume trends, capacity constraints, and conversion insights into clear recommendations for marketing prioritization, campaign timing, budget allocation, and local activation focus.
  • Monitor volume trends by clinic and market, flagging risks and opportunities, and recommending where marketing investment should shift to align with clinical capacity and growth goals.

Patient Education & Community Building

  • Partner with Clinical Leadership and providers to develop patient education resources, content, and communications that are clinically accurate and aligned with marketing's brand and messaging strategy.
  • Act as marketing's day-to-day liaison to clinical stakeholders, building trusted relationships that enable collaborative, cross-functional program development.
  • Ensure patient education initiatives, physician-facing materials, and in-clinic communications reflect both clinical accuracy and Spring's patient experience standards.
  • Gather clinical and provider input on patient needs, common questions, and journey friction points, and translate those insights into marketing and content priorities.
  • Develop and manage patient engagement programs that support patients across key moments in their journey, improve connection to Spring’s education and community offerings, and create scalable opportunities for ongoing communication, event participation, and local market activation.
  • Develop and operationalize a patient ambassador program that elevates authentic patient stories, strengthens community connection, and supports education, events, and local market engagement.
  • Directly manage Spring’s Community Manager, setting priorities and providing day-to-day guidance for community building, local partner activation, and patient-facing engagement initiatives.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 7–10+ years of experience in marketing operations, healthcare/clinical operations, practice management, or a role bridging marketing and operational teams.
  • Proven experience translating marketing strategy into operational execution across multiple locations or sites.
  • Experience partnering with clinical, provider, or medical stakeholders on patient-facing content or communications.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience building and owning KPI reporting that connects marketing activity to business or volume outcomes.
  • Strong systems and process fluency, with experience using dashboards, CRM or patient funnel reporting, project management tools, and campaign intake/workflow processes to drive visibility, accountability, and execution across teams.
