Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership and oversight for all human resources operations and initiatives.
- Partners with organizational leadership to support strategic planning, workforce development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversees recruitment, onboarding, retention, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding processes.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develops, implements, and updates HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Supervises and supports HR staff through coaching, development, and performance management.
- Oversees compensation, benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS processes.
- Provides guidance and support to managers regarding employee relations, investigations, corrective action, and performance concerns.
- Partners with leadership to support organizational culture, staff development, and succession planning efforts.
- Monitors HR metrics and trends to support data-informed decision-making.
- Coordinates training and professional development initiatives for staff and leadership.
- Collaborates with safety and operational teams to support workplace safety and compliance efforts.
- Participates in organizational planning, annual operating plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee and organizational information.
- Conduct HR research studies and prepare reports as needed.
- Assist with employee investigations and workplace concerns.
- Represent the organization at meetings, trainings, and community events as appropriate.
- Support the development and implementation of organizational goals and initiatives.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and operational plans.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Attend all trainings deemed mandatory by Laradon.
- Maintain current knowledge of HR trends, employment law updates, and HR best practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to human resources leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive human resources experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, employee relations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS systems, benefits administration, and performance management processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of leadership.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
