We are seeking an accomplished Director, HR Employee Partner to support an Engineering discipline of more than 8,000 employees. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with leaders to shape and advance our employee value proposition while driving critical workforce initiatives. You will lead key HR functions and initiatives—including employee relations, workforce strategy, and talent management—to strengthen our culture, enhance organizational capability, and enable operational excellence. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior HR partner experience who can operate as a strategic thought leader, change champion, consultant, and trusted advisor.
The Director leads an HR Employee Partner Manager and a team of HR Employee Partners, fostering capability development and consistent delivery of HR excellence across the Engineering discipline. This is an onsite role based at any of the following major Raytheon sites: Tucson, AZ; Aurora, CO; Tewksbury, MA; and McKinney, TX.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and HR business partners, building a strong performance culture, elevating employee engagement, and resolving complex employee matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Employee Partner team to ensure consistent, high-quality HR partnership, strong collaboration, and continued growth in HR capabilities.
- Coach and develop leaders to build innovative, high‑performing teams aligned with the RTX People Strategy.
- Lead implementation of employee relations, leadership development, and communication strategies that advance organizational objectives.
- Lead or contribute to organizational assessments, employee surveys, and action planning to enhance engagement, belonging, and performance.
- Oversee and guide complex employee relations matters, ensuring sound judgement, timely resolution while advising leaders on best practices and risk mitigation.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts within the HR Employee Partner function, enhancing operational efficiency, service quality, and alignment with RTX standards and processes.
- Advise on and support workforce strategy efforts, including staffing plans, hiring, succession, capability development, and organizational readiness for evolving engineering needs.
- Model and ensure adherence to RTX values, ethics and compliance standards, and HR policies.
- Use data and insights to identify employee trends and influence leadership decisions.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience.
- Prior HR partner experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at all organizational levels, including executives.
- Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state employment and labor laws.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated change leadership, providing impactful recommendations for optimization.
- Prior experience leading, coaching, and developing a team of HR or Employee partners.

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
