JOB SUMMARY: 

Are you a highly technical leader with a passion for building robust data foundations? Do you excel at designing data solutions that drive business outcomes while integrating seamlessly with current and future systems architecture? The Director, Enterprise Data is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s data strategy, architecture, and governance. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on leadership to a team that includes a Data Architect, Data Engineer/Platform Engineer, and third-party data resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Enterprise Data Manager fosters collaboration among these roles to optimize data infrastructure, improve data quality, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management, with a proven track record in designing and implementing data solutions within complex data environments. 

  • Deep expertise in Snowflake and Azure data services, with the ability to apply these platforms to achieve strategic business goals. 

  • Strong understanding of systems architecture principles, with experience integrating data solutions within broader technical ecosystems. 

  • Demonstrated success in establishing and managing data governance, quality, security, and compliance frameworks. 

  • Proven ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive a data-centric culture. 

  • Experience in leading and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented environment. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Technical Leadership in Data Architecture: 
    Work with our Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions using Snowflake and Azure, ensuring alignment with existing and anticipated systems architecture. Drive best practices in data integration, management, and optimization within the enterprise data environment. 

  • Data Solutions for Business Outcomes: 
    Translate business needs into data solutions by designing architectures and frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making and analytics. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure data initiatives deliver measurable impact on key outcomes. 

  • Data Governance & Compliance: 
    Work with IT, security, and compliance teams to establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards. 

  • Data Security & Quality Assurance: 
    Lead efforts to maintain high standards of data security and quality, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and protection across the organization. 

  • Lifecycle Management: 
    Oversee and guide the team in data lifecycle activities, including data acquisition, storage, transformation, and access, with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. 

  • Systems Architecture Collaboration: 
    Collaborate closely with systems architects and IT teams to align data strategies with broader enterprise systems architecture, ensuring data solutions fit within the company’s technical ecosystem. 

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: 
    Stay at the forefront of data management and systems architecture trends, incorporating innovative practices and tools that enhance our data environment. 

Leadership and Strategic Skills 

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing data engineering teams: Experience in guiding a team (internal and/or external) of data engineers, architects, and analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions. 

  • Strategic planning and execution: Ability to develop and implement data strategies that align with enterprise goals, leveraging Azure and Snowflake for scalability and efficiency. 

  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management: Proven ability to communicate technical strategies to executive leadership and work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams. 

  • Project management proficiency: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, particularly in data and software development projects managed within Azure DevOps. 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong proficiency in Azure ecosystem: Extensive experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, Azure Data Factory for ETL and orchestration, and Azure Infrastructure for data storage and compute management. 

  • Experience with Snowflake data platform: In-depth understanding of Snowflake’s architecture, including data warehousing, scaling, security, and performance optimization. 

  • Proficiency in GitHub and version control: Knowledge of best practices for code and data versioning in GitHub, including repository management and collaborative workflows. 

  • Experience with data modeling and architecture in a cloud environment: Ability to design, implement, and manage data pipelines and architecture on Azure and Snowflake. 

  • Data governance and security frameworks: Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards, such as GDPR and CCPA, and data governance practices using Azure tools. 

  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with database management: Strong SQL expertise, ideally with both relational databases and cloud-native solutions like Azure SQL Database and Snowflake. 

  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools: Experience with visualization tools like Power BI. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a computer desk for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • This position requires the ability to move around and position self appropriately during park visits, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $130,000-$150,000 annually plus bonus, based on qualifications, experience, and performanceFull-time employees at CircusTrix enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matchingEligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
