Own end-to-end inbound demand generation across SEO, content, paid, ABM, partners, and events. Build AI-driven content and lead-gen systems, manage six-figure digital and events budgets, map and score hauler ICP accounts, drive measurable pipeline growth, and coordinate conversion experiments with GTM Engineering.
TrashLab is the AI-native operating system for waste and recycling haulers across the US and Canada. We replace legacy point solutions with modern technology and AI agents that do real work in the truck, at the scale house, and on the phones. Our platform runs the full operational stack: CRM, billing, dispatch, routing, scale and recycling workflows, driver app and customer portal. Haulers use TrashLab to grow revenue and better serve their customers.
Since launching in 2023, TrashLab has scaled rapidly: live in 40+ states across hundreds of haulers and revolutionizing a $100B+ category with cutting edge technology. And our ambition goes beyond software — over time, we aim to become the financial and operational network that powers the industry. We recently completed our Series A from top-tier investors, and we're hiring a smart, ambitious team that will define what modern hauler technology will look like for the next decade. We move fast and care deeply about the operators we serve. Learn more at trashlab.com.
About the Role
We're hiring a Director, Demand Generation to own inbound pipeline end-to-end — the demand-gen obsessive who turns a meaningful six-figure digital budget and a stable of AI agents into the pipeline this company runs on: SEO, content, paid, and an AI-led lead-gen stack.
You will own inbound MQLs and pipeline contributions across every channel. This role reports directly to the CEO.
You will:
- Own all demand generation — SEO, content, paid search and social, programmatic, ABM, partner and co-marketing, and events — driving >40% of net-new pipeline, 3x inbound MQLs, and 10x search visibility by month 6.
- Manage a meaningful six-figure annual digital marketing budget plus a substantial trade show and conference budget, both expanding materially each year. Pick the bets, kill what's not working, double down on what is.
- Build the AI-driven content engine: programmatic SEO at scale, automated competitor and ICP research, and AI-assisted content production.
- Map and harvest the entire US/Canada hauler ICP, stand up non-form lead identification, retargeting, and account-level scoring — and hand a clean, scored list to BDRs and AEs daily.
- Own the website, blog, customer stories, and product launches; coordinate with the GTM Engineer on conversion experiments, demo environments, and landing pages.
- Position TrashLab as the AI-native, modern alternative to the legacy incumbents — own the narrative and the keyword real estate that comes with it.
You are a great fit if:
- You have 7+ years in B2B SaaS demand gen, with at least 3 years owning the function as a Director or Head — not just a senior IC.
- You write code or AI scripts to solve marketing problems — Python, JS, scraping, n8n/Zapier, custom GPT agents — and you actually ship.
- You've personally driven 5x+ organic traffic growth (or equivalent paid efficiency gains) at a B2B SaaS company in the last 3 years, and you can show the chart.
- You're fluent in HubSpot (or Marketo/Pardot), GA4, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, Clay, Apollo, or equivalents.
- You think in funnels and unit economics — CPL, MQL→SQL, CAC payback, blended LTV/CAC — not vanity metrics.
- You have a vertical SaaS background (field service, construction tech, fleet/logistics, FinTech) — strongly preferred.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $150,000 – $180,000 per year, plus equity. Benefits include unlimited PTO, health, vision, and dental insurance, and 401k.
