Your Role:

The Director of Commercial Operations holds accountability for all field operations to secure operational efficiency and customer effectiveness. The Director of Operations serves as an essential business partner to a therapeutic area, a peer to the Field Training Director and works proactively to ensure seamless, service-oriented, and strategic operations across all Commercial functions. This role is a key business partner for Marketing, Sales, Data & Analytics, Market Access, Compliance and responsibilities to include G&A operations, including but not limited to HR, Legal, IT, and Finance. It reports directly to Executive Director, Commercial Operations. The successful candidate is deeply passionate about data analytics, enabling the team to execute positive customer experiences and confidently couples strategic thinking, operational planning and teamwork to deliver on desired outcomes. This is a hands-on position that requires candidates to serve in both a strategic, analytical and tactical capacity to influence through actions and results rather than authority. Success in this role means anticipating leadership needs, driving initiatives with autonomy, and continuing to look for ways to deliver operational impact for your stakeholders. ​

Location Classification – Remote:

Officially classified as working full-time from employee’s home office within the United States or respected region, with the expectation to travel to SpringWorks Therapeutics offices or other locations on occasion as business needs. #LI-Remote​​

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Develop incentive compensation plans and contests to drive strategic business objectives
    • Responsible for all logistics, administration, communication, IC calculation and deep understanding of modeling methodology
    • Maintain appropriate documentation to ensure compliance
    • Partner with sales leadership and marketing to align to strategic direction
  • Develop and execute field operations to enable field force effectiveness with customers, the product portfolio and services including but not limited to:
    • Development and implementation of action-oriented performance reporting for field activities
    • Conduct field data analysis and insights to inform field direction and drive commercial performance.
    • Territory Alignment - Lead efforts with direction of regional team leads to update territory alignments.
    • Sales Effectiveness Metrics – develops and maintains Weekly Execution Dashboards in collaboration with Sales Leadership to drive sales force effectiveness
    • Develop, in partnership with cross functional partners, the targeting strategy aligned to overall brand strategic imperatives. Develop plan of execution for targeting pull through laddering up to brand strategy.
  • Drive quarterly business planning in collaboration with the National Sales Director
  • Become a subject matter expert in the business down to the account level to ensure effective business planning
  • CRM (Veeva) – In conjunction with IT, ensures that the CRM system is developed and deployed in an effective and efficient manner
  • Lead large cross-functional strategic projects to improve operational efficiency or customer experiences.
  • Serve in a chief of staff capacity for the Sales Organization, acting as a thought-partner to National Sales Director, organizing and driving the rhythm of decision-making and outputs to feed into key meetings and initiatives and ultimately the performance of the commercial business
  • Understand the manage Motus (fleet)
  • Manage and deliver Field Communications

Role Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 9+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 7 years and a Master’s degree
  • 3+ years of people leadership in biotech or pharmaceutical
  • Relevant commercial operations experience working within a biopharma company
  • Hands-on experience managing a field sales incentive compensation plan
  • 9+ years of experience working within a Commercial Organization
  • 2+ years of experience working within a Commercial Field or Operations line function
  • Sales analytics, CRM and field performance reporting
  • Strong background in strategy execution and project management
  • Significant experience with incentive compensation management
  • Ability to anticipate and remediate problems that arise
  • Creativity and resilience in problem solving
  • Strong leadership skills to drive performance and support corporate objectives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Experience with working in high growth, collaborative organizations

Compensation and Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $185,000 – $240,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
