 We are currently looking to hire a Director – Business Opportunity Assessments in our Denver, CO office. The Director will work closely with our clients and team members in providing advisory services related to improved operational efficiencies and effectiveness.  The individual lead operational assessments at the intersection of structure, process, and systems, and make recommendations with foundations in efficiency, quality, control, and innovation. This individual may also assist in the selection of new technologies, implementation of the recommended solutions, and connections to the broader services that CLA has to offer. The individual will lead engagements supported by team members who will educate, train, and promote a great working environment.

 In this role you will:

  •  Lead and participate in business opportunity assessments, system selection engagements, and implementation advisory. Other related service experiences are available based on interest and fit.
  • Review documentation; conduct individual interviews and workshops with key functional employees, managers and leadership; and analyze gaps between current state and desired future state.
  • Draft written observations and recommendations on improvements to structure, process, and systems, and provide quality review on consultants’ draft recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and CLA team members on prioritization, sequencing, and implementation of recommendations.
  • Identify seamless capabilities from our firm to support implementation of recommendations.
  • Act as the quarterback to ensure that all services are connected to support a successful implementation and possibly transformation for our clients.
  • Support team in helping to identify and scope new opportunities and drive growth.

  

Your experience likely includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance required and approximately 10 years of related work experience.
  • Experience working directly managing finance teams for complex organizations and implementing new technology solutions of at least 10 years.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both clients and team members
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong technical acumen and comfortable adapting to a variety of accounting systems and database structures.
  • A strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.

The wage range for this position in Colorado is: $126,400 – $207,000 

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
