What makes a great company? Is it the products it produces, its reputation, its culture? At Victorious, we know it’s our people.

Our people-first ethos permeates every aspect of our company, from practicing radical integrity to empowering each other to do our best work. This approach attracts the sharpest minds in the industry and creates a culture that places empathy and kindness squarely in the middle of our commitment to rigorous methodologies. These values ennoble our team with a passion and loyalty that move us toward the long horizon of sustainable success — for our customers, and for us.

The Director of Account Strategy leads the Account Management function at Victorious, responsible for retention, growth, and customer health across Victorious’s clients. This role blends functional leadership, portfolio oversight, and executive-level account strategy. It is accountable for building and sustaining a high-performing Account Management team, establishing the systems and standards that enable strong execution, and ensuring customer goals remain aligned with service delivery and campaign outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the vision, structure, and standards for the Account Management function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Account Managers by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and creating accountability to measurable outcomes.

  • Establish and refine scalable, repeatable processes that improve consistency, clarity, and effectiveness across Account Management.

  • Oversee customer health across the full Account Management portfolio, using performance data and team insight to identify risks early and drive proactive action.

  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex, high-impact, or at-risk customer situations, ensuring swift resolution and restoration of client confidence.

  • Provide strategic oversight for high-value or enterprise accounts when needed, ensuring customer goals, campaign execution, and service delivery remain aligned.

  • Define and improve how Account Managers collaborate with SEO, content, web, engineering, and other cross-functional partners to support efficient, aligned campaign execution.

  • Set and uphold standards for internal and external communication so customers are consistently informed, supported, and strategically guided.

  • Surface team-wide blockers, capacity issues, and process inefficiencies to the COO and leadership team, partnering with department leaders to implement durable solutions.

  • Lead team rituals, operating rhythms, and management practices that promote visibility, alignment, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Contribute to broader customer lifecycle strategy, resourcing decisions, and service evolution planning as a cross-functional leader.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Account Managers operate with confidence, consistency, and accountability, driving retention and growth across their books of business.

  • Customers experience strong strategic partnership, consistent communication, and proactive support across the portfolio.

  • High-risk or high-value accounts are closely monitored, and issues are identified and addressed before they materially impact customer relationships or revenue.

  • Cross-functional teams trust the Account Management function to drive alignment, surface needs early, and support strong campaign execution.

  • Operational challenges are addressed through durable systems, clear standards, and repeatable processes rather than one-off fixes.

  • Executive stakeholders and customers see you as a trusted strategic leader who strengthens both customer outcomes and the long-term effectiveness of the Account Management function.

You don’t need to be fired up; you’re self-motivated by an inner drive to produce the best results and to be part of creating something great.

  • You give a sh*t about your work. You believe in the inherent value of work and your role in helping a team succeed. You hate cynicism and are always looking to become a better version of yourself. Ego isn’t an issue for you because you know feedback is the fastest way to improve.
