Digital Solutions Integration Engineer III

Designs, develops, integrates, tests, configures, and commissions Active Network Management systems for power-quality, battery-storage, and FACTS applications. The role creates system and test specifications, develops interfaces with external systems, integrates instrumentation and test equipment, leads onsite commissioning, supports systems throughout their lifecycle, trains integration personnel, and collaborates with customers and internal teams.
POSITION SUMMARY
Design, deliver, and support advanced operational Active Network Management Systems (ANM) for Digital Solutions Department (DSD). Lead the delivery and support of ANM systems through their lifecycle.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Develop advanced system requirements, functional specifications, test specifications, and related documentation for DSD projects.
- Design, develop and test data interfaces between DSD products and external systems.
- Integrate control and field instrumentation, measurement devices, test rigs, and harnesses for production projects.
- Configure, test, and commission ANM platforms and application in production and pre-production environments.
- Lead onsite commissioning of ANM products and components.
- Maintain knowledge of latest research, development, and trial activities in the domain. Identify product opportunities consistent with DSD capabilities, platforms, and target markets.
- Develop and deliver training to other Integration Engineers and personnel on design and testing of ANM platforms.
- Further the goals and positive, professional image of DSD through effective dealings with customers and internal departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial control, computer science, or related discipline with a 5 to 7 years of experience in areas of power quality, battery energy storage systems, and FACTS devices, or equivalent education or experience.
- Advanced knowledge of automation control platforms, communication protocol interfaces, IT communication networking, and IT security practices.
- Advanced knowledge of the software engineering lifecycle and documentation process for design, development, and support.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with customers and employees.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products
