ABOUT CLIENT
We are currently in the discovery phase of a large-scale modernization initiative. The project aims to transform an existing monolithic enterprise system into a modern, scalable, cloud-based architecture within the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Azure environment.
The core objective is modernization: migrating and rebuilding a complex legacy system into a secure, high-performance, and future-ready cloud solution.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years as a DevOps engineer
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Azure services
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or Jenkins CI/CD tools for building, testing, and deploying software applications
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for Azure infrastructure and application-related issues
  • Direct experience with the United States Department of Energy (DOE) preferred (strong federal experience without DOE may also be considered)
  • This role requires eligibility to work on U.S. federal government projects (U.S. citizenship required per contract terms)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Advanced level of English
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week (Monday–Friday)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build infrastructure within the DOE Azure environment
  • Contribute to modernization of a legacy monolithic system
  • Help define the future DevOps and cloud architecture standards
  • Collaborate closely with a full ELEKS engineering team and client stakeholders
