Position: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We’re seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep hands-on experience in AWS, infrastructure as code, and automation tooling. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud infrastructure using technologies like Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform and scripting tools such as Groovy, Bash, and Python.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a Linux environment, is fluent with modern DevOps tooling, approaches infrastructure with a developer’s mindset, and takes ownership of thoroughly testing and validating their work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation pipelines using Jenkins and scripted pipelines in Groovy.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, patching, deployment, and more with Ansible and Terraform
  • Develop tooling and automation scripts in Groovy, Ansible, Bash, Python
  • Operate and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, with expertise in performance tuning, remote access, and system hardening.
  • Work hands-on with a range of AWS services: EC2, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, SNS, and more.
  • Collaborate across Dev, QA, and IT teams to deliver outcomes driven by business requirements
  • Monitor and improve system availability, reliability, and security.
  • Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, processes, and standards.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Ansible (required – not a learn-on-the-job skill)
  • Comfortable with Linux command-line tools — strong mastery of the basics (ssh, vi, curl, etc.) is critical for success in this role.
  • Fluency with Git for version control — branching, rebasing, resolving merge conflicts, working with pull requests, and following team workflows is essential.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills in one or more languages such as Groovy, Python, JavaScript with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and effective code to support automation and infrastructure needs.

Nice-to-Have:

  • 4+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or similar infrastructure-focused engineering role.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, especially with Groovy-based scripted pipelines.
  • Advanced experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • Experience managing high-availability production systems.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration with ECS, EKS, or Docker.

Why Join Us:

You’ll be part of a high-impact engineering team with the autonomy to shape infrastructure decisions and improve system reliability. We value engineers who take initiative, communicate well, and enjoy solving complex challenges.
