We’re looking for a DevRel / Developer Growth professional to help make Runware the obvious choice for developers building with AI.

This is a hybrid developer-facing role combining technical advocacy, developer growth, open source, ecosystem distribution, community engagement, and hands-on technical content. You’ll help Runware show up wherever developers already build, discover new tools, and make technical decisions — from GitHub, open-source projects, developer communities, integrations, and technical content to hackathons, meetups, workshops, and conferences.

Your work will directly influence how developers discover, understand, integrate, and adopt Runware. You’ll be expected to combine strong technical credibility with confident public communication and a growth mindset, identifying where Runware is underrepresented and turning those gaps into measurable developer adoption.

  • 📍 Location: San Francisco Bay Area
  • 🌍 Work setup: Fully remote, with regular on‑site presence at community activities
Responsibilities
  • Grow Runware across the developer ecosystem — identify where we should have a stronger presence and expand our distribution through GitHub, open source, developer communities, frameworks, integrations, plugins, package registries, MCP, marketplaces, and other relevant developer channels.
  • Create technical content and developer tooling — build demos, tutorials, quickstarts, example applications, SDKs, starter templates, integrations, and videos that make Runware easy to discover, understand, and integrate.
  • Represent Runware in the developer community — attend and lead workshops, hackathons, meetups, conferences, and other high-signal developer events; deliver live demos, technical sessions, and product walkthroughs.
  • Engage directly with developers — help developers integrate Runware, troubleshoot issues, explore use cases, and turn their feedback into actionable insights for Product and Engineering.
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales — translate Runware’s technology and launches into compelling developer-facing demos and narratives, and provide technical credibility when working with customers and the broader ecosystem.
  • Drive measurable developer adoption — understand which channels and initiatives move developers from discovery to integration and active usage, and continuously invest in what works.

Requirements
    • 4+ years of relevant experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Developer Growth, Developer Marketing, Developer Experience, or a closely related developer-facing role.
    • Experience working with an API-first, developer infrastructure, developer tools, or technical platform company, ideally in a fast-moving startup environment.
    • Strong technical credibility — able to write and demo code in Python or TypeScript and work comfortably with APIs, SDKs, integrations, and modern developer tooling.
    • Strong understanding of generative AI and the AI developer ecosystem, including the ability to explain model capabilities, limitations, and real-world use cases.
    • A demonstrated track record of driving measurable developer adoption through technical content, open source, GitHub, integrations, developer tooling, community, or other developer-growth channels.
    • Confident and engaging with technical audiences — comfortable presenting, running live demos, leading workshops, and explaining complex technical concepts clearly.
    • A credible public developer footprint, such as GitHub/open-source contributions, technical content, talks, demos, or other public developer work.
    • Willingness and ability to attend regular in-person developer events and community activities in San Francisco.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in AI infrastructure, generative AI, inference, or another AI-native developer platform.
  • Experience growing an open-source project, GitHub presence, or developer community from an early stage.
  • Experience getting developer products adopted through third-party frameworks, package registries, marketplaces, MCP, plugins, or other developer ecosystems.
  • Experience launching technical products through developer channels such as Hacker News, Product Hunt, Reddit, YouTube, or similar communities.

Benefits

We’re a remote-first collective, meeting in person twice a year to plan, brainstorm, celebrate wins, and enjoy some face-to-face time. We have core hours for cooperative working and calls, but outside of that your calendar is yours. Work the hours that let you perform at your peak while also building a healthy life.

Our release cycles are fast and intense, but they’re followed by real downtime. After big pushes we expect the team to unplug, recharge, and come back ready & stronger than ever for the next leap.

  • Generous paid time off – vacation, sick days, public holidays
  • Meaningful stock options – share in the upside you create
  • Flexible hours – own your schedule outside core collaboration blocks
  • Family leave – paid maternity, paternity, and caregiver time
  • Company retreats – twice-yearly gatherings in inspiring locations
