Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the teamWeb Presence & Platform (WPP) is organized into two pillars—Platform and Presence. The Platform pillar builds internal systems, tooling, and infrastructure to support the web. The Presence pillar owns the public-facing storytelling across stripe.com and link.com—including our homepage, product landing pages, industry and solutions pages, and other high-impact go-to-market surfaces. Together, we shape how millions of people understand what Stripe is and what it can do for them.
Designers on the Presence team work at the intersection of craft and impact—balancing clarity, polish, and systems thinking with strategic storytelling and experimentation. We collaborate closely with engineering, marketing, content, and product to deliver work that is not only beautiful, but measurably moves the business.
What you'll doAs a Designer on the Presence team, you'll own design across two distinct and high-visibility surface areas—Link (the Stripe one-click checkout experience and link.com) and Bridge (bridge.xyz—the Stripe stablecoin financial infrastructure, operating as its own standalone web property). These are some of the most strategically varied and creatively demanding surfaces in our portfolio—each with its own audience, brand voice, and design challenge.
You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy—driving work from brief to launch, navigating ambiguity with confidence, and setting the quality bar for your focus areas. You'll shape the design systems and storytelling frameworks that make these surfaces scale, and you'll build deep expertise that makes you a go-to partner for the cross-functional teams you work alongside. This is a high-ownership role for a designer who is equally at home leading a complex project and sweating the details of a single layout.
Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end design of your focus areas, Link and Bridge, from early strategy through final delivery, with minimal oversight
- Drive clarity in ambiguous or loosely defined briefs by synthesizing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into a coherent point of view
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, PMM, content design, brand, and product—facilitating alignment, integrating feedback, and keeping projects moving
- Partner deeply with engineering throughout the design process, from exploring technical possibilities and constraints early, to co-creating solutions at the intersection of craft and code, and ensuring design intent carries through to final implementation
- Develop and advance design systems, patterns, and components specific to your surfaces, ensuring they are extensible and maintainable at scale
- Apply and evolve visual and interaction standards that uphold the quality bar across diverse surface types—from immersive event experiences to conversion-focused product pages • Use research insights, user testing, and performance data to ground your decisions and advocate for the user across partner conversations
- Actively contribute to team quality, sharing your expertise, setting an example in critique, and helping raise the standard of work across the Presence team
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements- 5–7 years of relevant design experience, ideally in web, product marketing, or brand contexts
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, systems thinking, and the ability to lead complex, multi-faceted design work independently
- Proven ability to own projects end-to-end and deep fluency in layout, typography, color, motion, and interaction
- Comfort navigating ambiguity: you can generate a clear plan from a loose brief and bring partners along with you
- Strong communication skills: you articulate your thinking clearly, manage expectations proactively, and reduce confusion rather than add to it
- Proficiency in Figma, experience working within component-based design systems, and fluency with AI design tools and workflows
- Experience designing for CMS-driven websites with modular, scalable systems
- Experience designing event or campaign-driven marketing experiences (conferences, product launches, brand moments)
- Familiarity with designing for financial products or developer audiences, where clarity and trust are design requirements
- Fluency with front-end development workflows—you can collaborate meaningfully with engineers on what's possible and what's right
- Experience designing for international audiences, multilingual surfaces, or accessibility requirements
- Experience owning or contributing to design across multiple distinct web properties or brand identities simultaneously
- A track record of advancing shared design patterns, systems, or tooling—not just using them
We care deeply about craft—but also about moving with urgency and focus. We seek feedback early and often, because we believe design gets stronger through collaboration and iteration. We keep our users front and center—whether that's a developer evaluating Stripe for the first time, a shopper encountering Link at checkout, or a fintech founder learning about Bridge. And we take pride in shipping work that is not only beautiful and precise, but that delivers clear, measurable impact.
We value curiosity, directness, and resilience. You'll do well here if you thrive in ownership, bring strong intuition without losing sight of the data, and are energized by complex problems that require both strategic clarity and exceptional craft.
