Head of Consumer Checking & Deposit Growth

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end growth strategy and performance for the consumer checking and deposit franchise, with clear accountability for customer acquisition, primacy, engagement, and deposit growth outcomes. You will have the opportunity to define how and where the business wins, translating customer insight, market dynamics, and economic drivers into a clear, actionable path to expand the customer base and deepen relationships.
Operating as the owner of the enterprise growth agenda, you will be responsible to shape product direction, optimize channel and demand generation performance, and ensure a disciplined focus on customer experience and measurable outcomes. Success in this role requires balancing long-term strategic vision with rigorous execution—translating priorities into clear actions, aligned incentives, and sustained business impact.
You will operate with a broad cross-functional influence across Product, Marketing, Digital, Distribution, Finance, Operations, and Technology, ensuring alignment from strategy through delivery. In close partnership with Marketing, Pricing, and Distribution teams, you will drive integrated growth execution—refining the growth roadmap, enabling competitive positioning, and maximizing performance across channels and customer segments.

Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will define and lead the multi-year household and deposit growth strategies aligned to enterprise objectives—identifying target customer segments and relationship opportunities to drive sustainable growth and quality.
- You will optimize performance across existing and growing channels including branch network, affluent relationship coverage models, business banking channels, and digital—defining channel roles, economics, and integration across the customer journey.
- You will influence and advocate for continued positive progress in the customer and product value position, ensuring it reflects customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives.
- You will translate strategic intent into actionable customer acquisition, engagement, and relationship deepening roadmaps—clearly articulating priorities and desired outcomes for delivery and partner teams.
- You will establish expected outcomes and measurement plans aligned to actions, inclusive of front- and back-book performance including engagement, retention, and other relationship deepening focuses
Skillsets Needed:
- Proven track record of driving customer growth and relationship deepening in consumer financial services.
- Deep understanding of acquisition and portfolio economics, lifecycle management, and customer value creation.
- Strong financial acumen to support trade-off decisions, business case development, and ongoing optimization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to set vision and direction while actively engaging in execution details.
- Enterprise leader skilled at influencing across a complex, matrixed organization at all levels.
- Builder mindset, comfortable operating in scaling or evolving environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into measurable financial outcomes
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $232,000-$282,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
