Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain predictive models for sales forecasting, ensuring they are modular and flexible to accommodate dynamic business inputs
  • Build plug-and-play forecasting frameworks that allow easy incorporation of new parameters such as pricing, promotional cadence, channel performance, seasonality, and customer segments
  • Conduct price elasticity and scenario modeling to simulate the impact of pricing and promotional strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) to gather domain context and ensure models align with business priorities
  • Monitor model performance, perform error diagnostics, and continuously refine features and assumptions for improved accuracy
  • Create documentation and reusable code pipelines to streamline model deployment and updates
  • Translate complex predictive insights into actionable recommendations and compelling visual narratives for business stakeholders

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles, with a strong focus on forecasting and predictive modeling
  • Experience incorporating diverse datasets (e.g., pricing, inventory, promotions, external market data) into forecasting workflows
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent story-telling and communication skills
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and machine learning concepts
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of telecom or retail industry dynamics and sales cycles
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools
  • Strong proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels, etc.), SQL, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Demonstrated ability to build modular, scalable forecasting models using statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., SARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost, etc.)
  • Familiarity with marketing mix modeling, demand planning, or pricing optimization frameworks
  • Exposure to ML Ops and model monitoring best practices
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
