Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
The Data Scientist I solves the critical challenge of translating vast volumes of technical operation logs and system metrics into actionable narratives that reflect the actual customer experience for Sling and DISH TV. This role addresses the need for better observability by operationalizing AI and machine learning capabilities to monitor predictive health and identify system friction. By bridging the gap between raw data and product stability, the individual ensures that operational improvements are driven by clear, data-backed insights rather than anecdotal evidence.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

• Refinement of key performance indicators through the maintenance of AI/ML frameworks that aggregate system logs for predictive health monitoring.
• Visualization of deployed AI/ML model performance via sophisticated Tableau dashboards that provide stakeholders with transparent and accurate insights.
• Implementation of optimized data workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and ensure seamless scalability for model training and deployment.
• Translation of complex machine learning outputs into clear business summaries that drive strategic product and operational improvements.
• Execution of data-driven investigations using anomaly detection to surface and address immediate friction points in the customer journey.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

• Foundational expertise in data analysis used to identify workflow improvements and ensure data transparency for large-scale model deployment.
• Practical experience applying predictive analytics and basic AI methods, such as anomaly detection, to solve real-world operational challenges.
• Proficiency in Tableau for designing dashboards that visualize the tangible outcomes of machine learning initiatives.
• Strategic AI application skills to operationalize advanced capabilities across a diverse technical operations ecosystem.
• Adeptness at cross-functional communication, specifically the ability to prepare data narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Data Analysis or Technical Operations
Required Technical Skills: Must have experience with:

• Tableau Dashboard Design
• Predictive Analytics tools
• System Log Aggregation Frameworks
• Foundational Python or SQL for data workflow management

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year
