Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Data Record Clerk to enter, update, organize, and maintain company records and information in databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, accurate typing skills, good computer knowledge, and the ability to work independently from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update information accurately in databases, spreadsheets, and company systems.
- Review records and source documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Verify information and correct errors or inconsistencies.
- Maintain organized electronic records and files.
- Identify duplicate, missing, or incorrect information and report discrepancies.
- Process a high volume of records while maintaining accuracy and productivity standards.
- Update customer, client, inventory, order, or administrative records as assigned.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Word, email, and other computer applications.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive company information.
- Follow company procedures, data-entry guidelines, and quality-control standards.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members through email, chat, or video meetings.
- Complete assigned projects and meet established deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous data entry, clerical, administrative, or office experience is preferred but may not be required.
- Strong typing and computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Ability to organize information and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling company or customer information.
Preferred Skills
- Typing speed of 45–60+ WPM with good accuracy.
- Experience with databases, CRM systems, spreadsheets, or document-management software.
- Familiarity with remote communication tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Slack.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
