Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
In this role, you will support the development of our data infrastructure, ensuring a reliable flow of information for analytics and marketing. Your primary focus will be building ETL processes and maintaining pipelines using AWS, SQL, and Python. By resolving performance issues and collaborating with senior engineers, you help turn raw data into actionable insights that drive our AI and marketing initiatives.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)

• Build and maintain ETL processes and data ingestion streams using AWS services and SQL to ensure consistent data flow.
• Support the integration of data extracts into BI tools to provide visibility into business performance for stakeholders.
• Monitor production data pipelines and assist in resolving performance issues to ensure high system availability for marketing applications.
• Work alongside senior engineers to optimize SQL queries and manage AWS infrastructure supporting the AI Office.
• Participate in Agile team ceremonies to contribute to the delivery of scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Utilize orchestration tools within Databricks to assist in the automation of data workflows.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

• Experience building data pipelines in a professional or academic environment while learning to identify and resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Foundational knowledge of AWS Cloud services and modern data warehousing concepts like Snowflake and Redshift.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Linux/Unix shell scripting for automating data ingestion and processing tasks.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions that meet team goals.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Databricks or Control-M within a collaborative team setting.
• Strong communication skills used to document technical processes and share project updates with team members.
• Basic AI literacy with an interest in applying machine learning frameworks to enhance data processing capabilities.

Additional Qualifications

• Masters in Data Science or a related quantitative field preferred.
• AWS Machine Learning certification.
• Experience with marketing tools like Adobe Suite or Redpoint.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in a related field or team.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience with:
  
  • SQL and Python for data engineering.
  • AWS Cloud services (Redshift, S3, etc.).
  • Linux/Unix shell scripting.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,400.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
