ICF is looking for an exceptional Data Architect with experience in MS Azure based technologies who can design and implement reusable, scalable, secure, and innovative cloud solutions focusing on data collection, ETL processes, and analytical reporting solutions. You will be part of a team supporting an exciting opportunity at the Department of Transportation.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical data architecture and development support in a dynamic agile team working in close partnership with our DoT client. 
  • Support development of Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL) activities for data migration for a variety of data sources by utilizing MS Azure cloud services. 
  • Support data modeling and analysis to enhance search functionality by evaluating and implementing natural language processing based solutions. 
  • Develop effective data governance, lead technical resources, monitor and mitigates risk, quality, security, adoption, etc., and ensure success in the execution of these areas.
  • Participate in, and lead formal technology evaluations, technology proofs of concept, client demonstrations and various solutioning and educational presentations to assert vetting and client buy-in.
  • Demonstrate excellent communications skills while coordinating and collaborate in developing technical requirements with executive leadership, business stakeholders, various technical teams, contractors, etc.
  • Serves as the technical strategy champion for data architecture, resolving all program issues, answering questions. 
  • Authors required documentation, briefings, SLAs and technical standards for the architectural runway.
  • Works closely, lead and coordinates with other architects and additional members of the technical leadership and all other program teams.

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field 
  • Required Certifications: MS Azure
  • 5 or more years of experience in data architect roles with data migration development using MS Azure, Databricks, DataHub, and Synapse. Able to demonstrate a solid understanding of large scale platform deployments with successful track record of delivery.
  • 5 or more years experience with prominent cloud, service-oriented, platform-based application technologies with design and system development accomplishments.
  • 2 or more years experience in building natural language processing solutions to support data querying capabilities.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card required (required by federal government for this position)
  • Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a DoT Public Clearance

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$89,203.00 - $222,024.00
