Job Overview:

The Data Analyst role provides data analytics to ABC Legal Services leadership and employees. Analytics duties include data extraction from our Postgres database, providing reports on data extractions, analyzing data to create insights, creating Metabase visualizations and reports as needed, and identifying issues/problems/opportunities with data collection and storage. The role may ultimately offer opportunities to practice advanced skills such as predictive analytics/ML, database administration, and software development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate Metabase reports and charts using GUI query builder and native SQL
  • Query our database directly as needed to address specific company and employee needs
  • Acquire increasing familiarity with the structure and content of our large (400 table) production database
  • Proactively test the validity and cleanliness of data, and suggest appropriate fixes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
  • 1 years or more experience working with PostgreSQL or another RDBMS in a professional or academic capacity
  • Ability to interface with clients to provide excellent Customer Service and explain technical/statistical concepts to non-technical people
  • Ability to understand and apply basic statistics concepts, such as probability distributions and hypothesis tests

Starting Pay: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
