About the RoleThe Cybersecurity Analyst I is responsible for monitoring and analyzing security alerts and reports to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. This entry-level role involves investigating security incidents, conducting vulnerability assessments, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the security of the organization's network and systems. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and responding to security incidents, analyzing security alerts, and aiding in the implementation of security measures to safeguard sensitive data The position requires foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and a proactive approach to protecting digital assets.About You

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, endpoint detections, and event data to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Perform initial triage, investigation, documentation, and escalation of suspected security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Use enterprise cybersecurity tools to investigate detections, review endpoint activity, and support containment and remediation.
  • Leverage foundational IT knowledge to troubleshoot and investigate security-related issues.
  • Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cybersecurity tools and technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to gather information, coordinate incident response, and improve the security of organizational systems.
  • Maintain accurate case notes, incident records, and operational documentation; prepare reports on alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and mitigation activities.
  • Participate in security audits, compliance assessments, tabletop exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, defensive technologies, and SOC processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
  • Typically entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in IT support, systems administration, network operations.
  • Certifications: (1 or more required) Network+, A+, Certified Ethical Hacker, SANS (SysAdmin, Audit, Network and Security) level 100 courses or similar.
  • Knowledge of computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of audit and logging techniques.
  • Knowledge of structure, architectures, designs, and cybersecurity technologies used in modern communication networks.
  • Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
  • Experience working in a security operations center (SOC), security monitoring, incident response, or a similar cybersecurity environment.
  • Hands-on experience with the enterprise security platforms, including reviewing detections, investigating endpoint activity, and supporting response actions.
  • Experience with a security information and event management (SIEM) platform and basic log analysis.
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR), ticketing, and incident tracking tools.
  • Additional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of common attack techniques, incident response processes, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a continuously monitored operational environment.


Compensation:

Pay Range:

$75,937.00 - $104,434.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
