The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting customers with questions, concerns, orders, account information, and product or service issues. The role involves providing professional, friendly, and timely support while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, chat, or in person.
- Provide accurate information about products, services, pricing, policies, and procedures.
- Listen to customers, understand their needs, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Resolve complaints, concerns, and service issues professionally and efficiently.
- Process customer orders, returns, exchanges, payments, refunds, and account updates as required.
- Enter and maintain accurate customer information in company systems.
- Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
- Follow up with customers to ensure problems have been resolved.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to supervisors or appropriate departments.
- Coordinate with sales, billing, shipping, technical support, and other departments when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of company products, services, promotions, and policies.
- Meet established customer service, quality, productivity, and response-time goals.
- Protect customer information and maintain confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, call center, retail, office, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional and friendly telephone manner.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with email and office software.
- Ability to learn customer service software, CRM systems, and other company applications.
