Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to manage the course content on the Charis Course Platform, ensuring all material, including syllabi, study guides, audio and video recordings, and exams, are uploaded, current, free from errors, and compliant with ministry structure and format standards. This position is a resource for all things related to the administration of the curriculum in Woodland Park, managing the library of current and past course content, informing and coordinating with stakeholder departments, and assisting the Director of Curriculum with various projects and administrative duties as required.
Essential Duties:
- Build and maintain course content in the Charis Course Platform.
- Resolve Charis Course Platform application technical issues with the application provider.
- Communicate and follow guidelines and procedures for course content development and management.
- Maintain high standards of writing and formatting.
- Manage updates to content with the latest revisions and corrections.
- Ensure content meets ministry standards for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain the Course List database.
- Create/maintain content storage and management system(s).
- Serve as the Curriculum content point of contact for US extension schools, Charis Online, and World Outreach regarding updates to curricula.
- Draft, edit and update Y1 and Y2 module exam study guides and exams.
- Guide Y3 coordinators in the development of module exam study guides and exams.
- Correspond with instructors to update syllabi. Edit and format syllabi and distribute final copies to students via the Charis Course Platform.
- Support the Student Help Desk with responses to student questions about the curriculum.
- Twice a year, facilitate the creation of the Bible Reading Plan from start to final product.
- Provide secondary support according to room check procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Zoom, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe products.
- Highly organized and very attentive to details.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to learn and manage content management and file management software.
- Excellent outlining and document formatting skills.
- Very strong initiative to independently seek improvements and learn new methods/skills.
- Ability to implement and lead a professional document control system.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Must sign the Statement of Faith.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
- College degree with English or Communications emphasis preferred.
- Charis Bible College student or graduate preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules on occasion.
- Must pass all required checks.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of strong PC and MS Office experience.
- Document management experience (strongly preferred but not required).
- SharePoint experience (preferred but not required).
- Professional teaching or writing experience (preferred but not required).
- Compensation is commensurate with experience.
