Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Corporate Controller to report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer who will lead core accounting functions and partner cross-functionally across the organization. leadership role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, enhancing financial reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives as we scale. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, ensure compliance with US GAAP, including Software and SaaS-specific revenue recognition standards (i.e. ASC 606), and support cross-functional teams with accurate financial data and insights to support strategic decision-making. You will play a key leadership role in building a strong financial infrastructure that enables us to scale responsibly and strategically.
 

What you'll do... 

Financial Leadership & Technical Accounting

  • Assist and help drive the quarterly and annual close process, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
  • Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
  • Work closely and help manage relationships with external and internal auditors as well as liaise with external accounting advisors
  • Partner with the CAO to help provide strategic guidance on complex accounting issues (e.g., revenue recognition, acquisitions, restructures, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide accounting insight for strategic decisions, including investment prioritization and capital planning.
  • Lead the development and implementation of global accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and scalability.
     

Software and SaaS-Specific Financial Management

  • Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 and other relevant guidance.
  • Serve as a business partner to Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk teams to influence deal structures that align with accounting standards and support strategic outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and partnership to Products and Engineering teams to help evaluate financial accounting conclusions tied to new product releases and modifications
  • Monitor key financial metrics and assist in the development of the financial narrative to enhance and drive shareholder value
  • Research, draft, and present well-reasoned technical accounting memos and white papers to support the company’s positions on complex accounting matters.
     

Strategic Collaboration and Team Leadership

  • Drive process improvement, automation, and systems enhancements across the accounting organization.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives, including system implementations, M&A integration, and operational scaling.
     

Who you are...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification and experience in Big 4 or public accounting, strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Deep understanding and experience with US GAAP, specifically contract accounting under ASC 606, and financial compliance standards required
  • Proven leadership in scaling accounting functions in a high-growth tech environment working with both Software and SaaS contracts
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP and Solution 7 report writer, a plus
  • Strong communicator that thrives in cross functional - fast paced environments
  • Strategic thinker who loves getting into the details on technical issues
  • Someone who has a passion for building scalable processes and is motivated through achievement of operational excellence

$196,350$285,200 USD
