Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global Am Law 100 law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for an Associate to join its Denver office’s Health Care Practice Group. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated transactional matters for private equity and other financial sponsor clients, alongside a collaborative, nationally recognized team. The Associate will play an active role in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex transactions and will have meaningful client contact. The position provides exposure to clients across a variety of industries, with a particular emphasis on health care and other heavily regulated industries.
Job Requirements
Ideal candidates should have 3 – 4 years of experience working with private equity funds, independent sponsors, portfolio companies and founder owned businesses in connection with M&A transactions and day-to-day corporate matters. Candidates should have demonstrated experience:
- Drafting and negotiating transaction documents for M&A transactions;
- Preparing and negotiating governing documents, including bylaws, operating agreements, and partnership agreements;
- Managing key aspects of transactions with increasing independence, including coordinating due diligence and supervising junior attorneys; and
- Working directly with clients and collaborating effectively within deal teams.
Candidates should possess a strong academic background and superior drafting skills and must be diligent, detail-oriented, proactive, team-oriented, and personable. Candidates must be admitted to the Colorado Bar and should be willing to participate in community and professional organizations as part of professional development.
The expected pay range for this position is:
$215,000 - $240,000.
Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
