Supports company operations through purchasing, supplier coordination, order fulfillment, supply chain risk mitigation, fixed asset inventory, rental contract administration, equipment tracking, and reservation management. Resolves purchasing and receiving issues, updates ERP promised dates, communicates shipment delays, coordinates client invoicing and equipment maintenance, and assists with marketing projects and website maintenance.
Purpose:
This position provides essential inside support to the successful operations of the company. Responsible for equipment purchasing, fixed asset inventory management, long term rental contracts called monthlies and one-off event rentals. Responsible for equipment tracking and reservation system. Additionally, responsible for marketing projects and website maintenance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure order fulfillment of purchasing requests at the best possible value to the company.
- Manage and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Work all issues (wrong product received, incorrect invoicing, and incorrect receipt of product, etc.) that occur to complete resolution.
- Routinely manage and mitigate supply chain risk.
- Manage long-term rental contracts called monthlies, including client invoicing and maintenance of equipment
- Obtain Order Acknowledgements from suppliers and update Promised Dates in the ERP.
- Communicate shipments delays to company personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 1-3 years purchasing / buying experience preferred.
- Knowledge of broadcasting technology equipment
- Capable of working the entire MS Office suite, especially Excel. Crystal reporting system experience is a plus.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize vast amounts of data.
- Capable of learning new computer programs quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task several priorities and possess solid time management skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter and initiate projects.
- Must be able to work individually as well as in a team environment.
- Project management experience preferred.
