Job Description:

The Contract Administrator is responsible for supporting the administration and management of contracts at SSR Mining’s Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Gold Mine. This role oversees contract lifecycle activities, contract governance and compliance, supplier performance, and documentation to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective mining operations. Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Processing, Engineering, Finance, Health & Safety, and other site stakeholders, the Contracts Administrator supports sourcing initiatives, supplier relationships, RFIs and RFPs, procurement planning, and a variety of mining, maintenance, construction, and operational service agreements. The position also supports Demand-to-Delivery (D2D), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Supplier Sourcing and Relationships (SSR) processes, including change management and continuous improvement efforts across the site. The successful candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting the needs of a high-elevation open-pit mining operation.

Day to Day:

Contract Administration & Governance:

  • Administer contracts throughout the entire contract lifecycle, including creation, execution, amendment, renewal, extension, and closeout. 

  • Maintain and manage the site's Contract Register and CLM documentaion, ensuring contract records remain accurate, current, and audit-ready. 

  • Track contract milestones, deliverables, expirations, renewal dates, change orders, and contractual obligations. 

  • Coordinate contract execution, approvals, routing, and document retention requirements. 

  • Ensure contract compliance with company policies, procedures, delegated authorities, and applicable regulations. 

  • Assist in identifying and mitigating contractual and commercial risks. 

  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete contract documentation. 

  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders regarding contract administration processes and requirements. 

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Support:

  • Support the development and maintenance of site Contract and Procurement Plans. 

  • Coordinate and administer Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and supplier bid processes. 

  • Assist with bid evaluations, commercial comparisons, supplier assessments, and contract award recommendations. 

  • Participate in supplier negotiations and contract implementation activities. 

  • Support procurement and sourcing activities that align with site operational requirements and business objectives. 

  • Interface with stakeholders to identify upcoming sourcing opportunities and contract requirements. 

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):

  • Support the administration and coordination of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities. 

  • Maintain supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and performance tracking systems. 

  • Schedule and coordinate supplier business reviews and performance meetings. 

  • Monitor supplier service levels and contract performance. 

  • Assist in developing corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers. 

  • Maintain supplier performance records and communicate key performance trends to stakeholders. 

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Serve as a primary site resource for contract-related inquiries and administrative support. 

  • Communicate contract status, key milestones, supplier performance information, and sourcing activities to stakeholders. 

  • Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Processing, and Finance teams to ensure contract requirements are understood and executed. 

  • Provide reporting and analysis related to contract spend, supplier performance, contract expirations, and sourcing activities. 

  • Support budget planning, forecasting, accruals, and financial reporting activities related to contracts. 

Continuous Improvement & Change Management:

  • Support implementation of change management initiatives related to Supplier Sourcing and Relationships (SSR), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), and procurement processes. 

  • Promote adoption of contract management tools, systems, and standardized processes. 

  • Assist with stakeholder training, communications, and process documentation. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve contract visibility, compliance, efficiency, and overall process effectiveness. 

  • Support system enhancements and continuous improvement projects associated with CLM and procurement technologies. 

  • Monitor process compliance and recommend improvements where appropriate. 

Is This You??

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5–10 years of experience in contract administration/management, procurement, sourcing, or commercial administration within mining, construction, heavy industrial operations, manufacturing, oil & gas, or a related industry.

  • Experience administering service, maintenance, construction, and supply contracts throughout the contract lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and end-to-end Demand-to-Delivery (D2D) processes.

  • Experience coordinating RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, bid evaluations, procurement plans, contract registers, and related documentation.

  • Experience with supplier KPIs, scorecards, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and supplier performance programs.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial terms, contract administration, procurement practices, and risk management.

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams and support change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, and ethical business practices.

  • Mining industry experience preferred, particularly in open-pit mining and contracts supporting mining services, mobile maintenance, processing plants, construction, and capital projects.

  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, or equivalent preferred.

  • Support additional duties, special projects, site-wide initiatives, and evolving operational and business priorities as assigned. Responsibilities may be modified or reassigned based on business needs and management direction.

Working Conditions & Environment:

  • Regular presence at an active open-pit mining operation. 

  • Ability to safely work and perform duties at high elevations. 

  • Ability to travel throughout the mine site and occasionally to supplier or corporate locations as required. 

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and industrial environments consistent with mining operations. 

  • Must comply with all company and site safety requirements. 

  • Type: Full Time; Hybrid two times a week on site.    

  • Working Hours: M-Th 10+ Hours a Day.  On-Call will regularly be required.  

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this Contract Administrator role is from $110,000 to $120,000. Benefits: 401(k); medical/dental/vision insurance; employee share purchase plan, PTO, and STI.
