About Eleanor Health

At Eleanor Health we are helping people affected by addiction  live amazing lives. We work to fulfill this goal by building and growing the first addiction and mental health services provider designed to deliver a longitudinal, whole-person, value-based model of care for each community member. Our team is ambitious and committed to this unique opportunity, and understands the importance of attracting strong and experienced talent to make our vision for Eleanor Health a reality every day, and for every recovery journey we are entrusted to be a part of.

About The Role

Most people looking for addiction treatment never see a brochure. They search, they ask an AI assistant, they read an article someone linked in a community. The content Eleanor Health publishes is how we show up in those moments: accurately, warmly, and in language that treats every reader with dignity.

The Content Operations Specialist brings Eleanor Health's content strategy to life by managing the day-to-day production, governance, and publication of accurate, accessible, search-optimized content. Working within our AI-assisted Content Engine and Sanity CMS, this person coordinates the full content lifecycle, from briefs and drafting through editorial and clinical review, publishing, quality assurance, and ongoing optimization.

This role combines strong editorial judgment with operational discipline. The Content Operations Specialist maintains visibility into the production pipeline, ensures that content meets brand, clinical, and technical standards, and improves the processes that help our team publish consistently and responsibly. Written content is the primary focus, with opportunities to support multimedia and cross-channel content as the program grows.

Core ResponsibilitiesContent Production & Publishing
  • Own the day-to-day content production pipeline, coordinating assignments, deadlines, editorial and clinical reviews, approvals, staging, and publication against priorities established by the Sr. Manager.
  • Produce, build, and publish location pages, service pages, educational articles, FAQs, and guides in Sanity using structured content models, including required metadata, schema inputs, internal links, and calls to action.
  • Conduct pre- and post-publication quality assurance to verify content accuracy, formatting, functionality, and consistency. Coordinate with internal subject matter experts to confirm operational details such as locations, services, and insurance acceptance.
  • Maintain the content library throughout its lifecycle, coordinating scheduled refreshes, consolidation, and retirement of outdated content while documenting publication history, URL changes, and redirects.
AI-Assisted Content Operations
  • Operate Eleanor Health's AI-assisted Content Engine, executing established workflows to develop briefs, generate and refine drafts, and prepare content for editorial and clinical review.
  • Apply human editorial judgment to AI-assisted content, verifying factual claims against approved sources and editing for accuracy, clinical sensitivity, brand voice, and readability. Maintain citations and source documentation.
  • Maintain Content Engine prompts, templates, editorial guidelines, and quality standards. Identify recurring issues, recommend improvements, and implement approved workflow changes.
  • Evaluate Content Engine performance, including output quality, recurring errors, revision requirements, and review efficiency, using findings to recommend improvements to the production process.
Search & AI Visibility (SEO, GEO, AEO)
  • Apply established on-page SEO standards, including titles, headings, meta descriptions, internal linking, image alt text, URL structure, and structured data inputs.
  • Optimize content for traditional and AI-powered search through clear information architecture, direct answers, relevant question-and-answer formats, consistent terminology, and credible citations.
  • Conduct keyword, topic, search intent, and audience-question research to support briefs and recommend content creation or refresh opportunities aligned with established priorities.
  • Monitor content-level performance in Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and approved AI visibility tools. Identify opportunities for improvement and conduct routine content-level SEO quality assurance, escalating technical issues to the appropriate partners.
  • Collaborate with the Reputation & AI Visibility Specialist on content supporting local search visibility, accurate business information, reputation initiatives, and AI citations and recommendations.
Cross-Channel Content Support & Creative Coordination
  • Adapt approved content and messaging for social media, email, video scripts, and downloadable resources in collaboration with channel owners and creative partners.
  • Coordinate content briefs, approved copy, source materials, deliverables, and applicable reviews with designers, video producers, and other creative partners. Support the organization and publication of completed assets in accordance with established standards.
Content Operations & Accountability
  • Maintain a centralized content calendar, intake queue, and production tracker that provide visibility into priorities, assignments, deadlines, dependencies, review status, and publication.
  • Manage day-to-day production schedules and stakeholder coordination, proactively resolving routine bottlenecks, communicating risks or delays, and escalating priority conflicts or decisions requiring strategic direction.
  • Maintain clear, repeatable operational documentation, including publishing checklists, standard operating procedures, workflow instructions, and editorial guidance.
  • Provide regular reporting on content throughput, production timelines, review turnaround, outstanding deliverables, and process improvements, with actionable recommendations for the Sr. Manager.
Language, Privacy & Compliance
  • Apply Eleanor Health's brand voice and person-first, stigma-free communication standards, ensuring content is accurate, compassionate, accessible, and respectful of people seeking care.
  • Follow established privacy and confidentiality policies, including applicable HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 requirements. Protect patient information and use only appropriately authorized patient stories, testimonials, or other sensitive materials.
  • Identify and escalate sensitive clinical claims, privacy concerns, and compliance questions to authorized reviewers. Document required approvals and ensure unresolved concerns are addressed before publication.
You'll Be A Good Fit If You:
  • Treat documentation, process, and quality assurance as essential parts of producing great content, not administrative afterthoughts.
  • Learn new content systems quickly, enjoy working with structured content, and look for ways to make workflows more efficient and reliable.
  • Take ownership of deliverables from assignment through publication, anticipating dependencies, following up with stakeholders, and keeping work moving without constant direction.
  • Understand that content isn't finished until it's accurate, accessible, discoverable, and properly published.
  • Write and edit plainly, warmly, and accurately, and can adapt approved messaging for different audiences and channels without losing its meaning or intent.
  • Stay organized and proactive when managing competing requests, communicate clearly about capacity and deadlines, and know when to escalate decisions about priorities.
  • Approach the work with compassion and sound judgment, recognizing that clear, trustworthy information can help someone take the first step toward care.
Skills & Competencies
  • Experience: 3+ years in content operations, editorial production, content marketing, or a related field, with demonstrated experience managing content workflows, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering content from assignment through publication.
  • AI-assisted content: Hands-on experience using large language models such as Claude or ChatGPT in content workflows, including prompting, drafting, editing, fact-checking, and evaluating output quality. Ability to follow established AI content governance standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Content systems: Experience working in a content management system such as Sanity, WordPress, Contentful, or similar. Familiarity with structured content, metadata, and basic Markdown or HTML, with the ability to learn new publishing systems quickly.
  • SEO, GEO & AEO: Working knowledge of on-page SEO, keyword and topic research, internal linking, and content optimization for traditional and AI-powered search. Familiarity with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or AI visibility monitoring tools is preferred.
  • Writing & editing: Strong editorial skills, with demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, accurate, accessible content, adapt messaging across channels, verify factual claims, and maintain consistent brand voice.
  • Content operations & project coordination: Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex content workflows, coordinate stakeholders, anticipate dependencies, and deliver accurate, approved content on schedule.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Experience coordinating with writers, designers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to move content through review, approval, and publication. Ability to communicate clearly, manage dependencies, and follow through on commitments.
  • Judgment & accountability: Sound editorial judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to recognize when content requires additional clinical, legal, technical, or compliance review before publication.

Helpful but not required:

  • Experience creating or managing content in healthcare, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or another regulated industry
  • Familiarity with schema markup, structured data, and technical SEO concepts
  • Experience implementing, managing, or improving AI-assisted content production workflows
  • Familiarity with creative collaboration tools such as Canva or Figma, particularly for reviewing assets, working with templates, or coordinating with design partners
What This Role Is Not

We would rather be clear now than leave it ambiguous.

  • Not a content strategy role. Organic acquisition strategy, editorial priorities, and major content decisions are established by the Sr. Manager. This role owns operational execution and recommends improvements to how the work gets done.
  • Not a prompt-and-publish role. AI-generated content is a starting point. Every deliverable requires human editorial judgment, fact-checking, and applicable reviews before publication.
  • Not a developer role. CMS architecture, technical configuration, and engineering are owned by the appropriate technical teams. This role works within established systems, identifies issues, and coordinates necessary corrections.
  • Not a clinical or compliance approval role. Clinical, legal, and compliance decisions remain with authorized subject matter experts. This role coordinates required reviews, documents approvals, and ensures unresolved concerns are addressed before publication.
