The Content Creation and Communications Operations role creates, edits, and manages content that enhances company reputation, brand awareness, and supports communications activities connected to corporate efforts, marketing and recruiting, and pursuit positioning efforts. This role uses storytelling, visuals, audio, video, and other creative tools to communicate BC's services, expertise, and innovations, positioning BC as a thought leader. This role develops and creates content, completes routine tasks and assignments involving research, managing workflow, developing documentation and performing material review. The role deepens understanding of role responsibilities while providing increased support and coordination within corporate communications. This role develops content, partners and collaborates with cross-functional teams and manages content calendars and deadlines efficiently. This role operates with minimal supervision and allows for independent decision-making within scope of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Leads content development for key industry events and conferences, shaping storytelling to enhance organizational brand and thought leadership.
- Designs research plans and conduct significant portion of the audience and market research to inform and refine communication strategies.
- Develops and manages comprehensive editorial calendars and communication plans for campaigns, ensuring consistent and high-quality content delivery.
- Works with technical experts and sales teams to pull content and story ideas for strategies to drive media strategies.
- Develops and recommends content strategies with cross-functional and internal teams that align with business goals and campaign strategies.
- Utilizes analytics to test, optimize, and report on content and communication performance.
- Leads key projects, coordinating with other team members to achieve quality outcomes on time.
- Support efforts to drive top-tier media coverage.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop content testing plans that measure communications effectiveness
- Develop and source content for SEO, including keyword research and on-page optimization.
- Oversees proofreading and editing processes to ensure high-quality documentation and coherence in BC communications.
- Serves as primary content lead for a strategic conference and/or industry event.
- Provides final material review and ensures content is aligned with BC branding and industry standards.
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Mentorship
- May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Advanced copywriting & editing skill with demonstrated ability to develop content for multimedia, web and written formats, informed by design and creative best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in documentation tools and software.
- Developed understanding of channels of communication.
- Excellent research skills and the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Strong understanding of how to integrate the corporate brand and brand voice throughout all aspects of the work
- Ability to provide clear direction to graphic designers, videographers and other creative teams to tell compelling stories that align with business goals.
Experience
- Typically, a minimum of 4 years of related work experience is required.
- Prior experience in managing large projects and content calendars.
- Prior experience in partnering with cross-functional teams and coordinating final material reviews.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field, or equivalent experience is required.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $25.40 - $34.70
Location B: $27.80 - $38.00
Location C: $30.70 - $41.40
