Position: Content Claims Specialist – In‑House (Level I) 📦
Location & Work Setup: Remote (USA) 🌎💻
What You’ll Do
🔄 Act as a third‑party intermediary between insurers’ property adjusters and policyholders
🔥 Handle valuations for total loss content claims (theft, water, fire, and other perils)
💻 Process claims accurately and on time using exclaim, edjuster’s web‑based platform
🗂️ Manage assigned claim files and complete daily documentation and administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For
📌 Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a home‑based office
⏱️ Ability to manage claim volumes and track time and activities accurately
- As part of this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct research and pricing of contents based on like, kind and quality valuation by working with various edjuster research methodology of completed claims inventories, schedule of loss forms and from contractor's lists.
- Submit completed claims reports to Insurance adjusters, close files to meet edjuster's performance cycle times and productivity standards.
- Perform content valuation according to Company performance/productivity standards.
- Ensure consistent and quality turnaround of all claims in accordance with the Company's productivity and performance standards.
- Report/record all time spent on each claim file on a consistent and daily basis.
- Maintain claim related notes in the Company's Claims System/Web-application (exclaim), relating to incurred hours over productivity standards, as well as related to specific issues and other pertinent notes.
- Ensure effective and professional communications with all key stakeholders in the claims process, including; edjuster claims representatives, adjusters, policyholders and industry contractors.
- Consistently promote edjuster's brand, image and reputation in a professional and positive manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- A Secondary School diploma.
- Some prior background/experience in the property claims industry would be considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office/Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and new technology
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve
- Be able to provide an adequate workspace, free of noise.
- Employee must provide their own high speed internet service (a portion will be reimbursed after the waiting period).
- Company equipment will be provided. It is the employee's responsibility to care and maintain the equipment, as per policy.
