We are searching for a creative and collaborative Communications Manager who will help maintain and grow the QuestBridge brand among our core constituents. Reporting to the Director of Communications and working closely with the Communications team, the Communications Manager will play a crucial role in managing the content creation for the program teams to ensure that our students, Scholars, and Alumni are engaged through a variety of channels.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with team members to plan, manage, create, and edit content for email, social media, web, print, video, and other channels to support program goals.
- Review messaging and creative assets for brand alignment and provide feedback to stakeholders as needed.
- Facilitate collaboration among communications and program teams.
- Have a deep understanding of the content needs of the program teams and the best way to leverage different platforms to meet those needs.
- Maintain brand integrity and champion the value of consistent messaging by implementing guidelines.
- Monitor emerging trends and provide recommendations on best practices for marketing and communications.
- Balance conflicting parameters and constraints for messaging and advocate for trade-offs or escalate when needed.
- Participate in other organization-wide initiatives such as reading applications and staffing both in-person and virtual conferences.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years relevant professional experience.
- Excellent writing, editing, and design skills with demonstrated experience in adapting content for different channels and understanding the relationship between design and content.
- Ability to apply a consistent voice with tonal flexibility for various audiences and programs.
- A proven track record of successfully working cross-collaboratively, ideally with some management experience.
- Strong working knowledge of website content management systems, email marketing software, social media platforms, and design programs (Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Heightened sensitivity to students from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail, but able to maintain focus on the larger picture.
- Rigorous quality standards in terms of text editing and visual aesthetics.
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with a small team of colleagues.
- Strong work ethic, with curiosity about new trends in marketing and communications.
- Strong belief in the goals and mission of QuestBridge.
- Deep-seated personal integrity.
- Warm, positive personality.
- Desire to grow and develop professionally. Quick study, independently resourceful.
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and skills for the position. Well-rounded benefits package included with full-time employment. The range for the position is $62,400 - $78,000.
Hours and Location of WorkThis is a regular, full-time position that is remote within the US. Employees will be expected to be engaged online and travel when necessary.
