eHealth is looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to join our Communications Team. This entrepreneurial role is key to driving two critical areas: organic social media and internal communications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that keep employees informed, inspired, and aligned, while also strengthening eHealth’s community and content strategy on social media—including that of our customers, company and executives.

This role requires a strong communicator who can craft compelling content, manage cross-channel campaigns, and contribute to a positive and engaged workplace culture.

What you'll do:

Social:

  • You will develop and nurture targeted customer audiences and communities across social media platforms, creating meaningful engagement that highlights eHealth’s services and translates complex health care information into accessible, shareable content.
  • You will develop compelling, high-quality, and visually appealing content (including graphics, videos, and copy) that resonates with the target audience.
  • You will craft and implement social media strategies across various platforms to promote the company and its products or services.
  • You will monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize performance and reach. Track and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  • You will design and implement an organic influencer program to amplify the eHealth brand and reputation.

Internal:

  • You will develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • You will create and distribute internal newsletters, announcements, and updates while maintaining information within our intranet.
  • You will collaborate with various departments to gather and share relevant information.
  • You will organize and support internal events and initiatives to promote company culture.
  • You will ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all communication platforms including internal news and external socials.
  • You will foster internal alignment and engagement through collecting employee feedback and Q&As at company events to help drive executive narratives and reputation.
  • You will track and report on the effectiveness of internal communication efforts.

Who you are:

  • You have at least 8 – 10 years of proven experience in internal communications, digital strategy, or social media strategy and content creation.
  • You must have a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt style and use persuasion when delivering messages that relate to the wider business.
  • You have strong organizational and project management abilities. Exercises independent judgement in the social media responsibilities with work reviewed at critical points.
  • You have advanced abilities in social media platforms and analytics tools. Provides solutions in creative and effective ways.
  • You have a creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content.
  • You have an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, frequently advising others on complex matters.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and cross-functionally.
  • You have healthcare industry experience or understanding preferred.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
