Job Summary:
We invite you to join our Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team as an Executive Director, Business Manager. As an Executive Director, Business Manager in our Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team, you will have the opportunity to partner with our Head of Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and their leadership team to promote strategic priorities for the business and ensure financial discipline across CRE. You will simplify complex data into actionable insights and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to the Business Head and leadership team.
We're looking for a business management expert who can simplify complex data into actionable insights and establish themselves as a trusted advisor to the Business Head and leadership team. You'll have ownership and accountability for all business management activities and manage a team of business managers, using your strong relationship management skills and business/financial knowledge to support business decisions.
In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining operating discipline, developing business strategies and partnering with multiple, diverse stakeholders across the Commercial Bank and Investment Bank, to ensure the effective delivery of strategic finance and business management functions to senior leadership.
Job responsibilities:

  • Acts as strategic partner to Head of CRE, senior leadership and managers across business, leveraging operational experience, data and analytical insights to establish and implement operating models and assist with the development and execution of business and financial plans.
  • Collaborates across Finance and Business management (F&BM) and other functional areas to understand and communicate results, execute strategic initiatives, and monitor outcomes.
  • Works closely with Head of CRE, Initiatives leads, and functional stakeholders to establish and implement robust operating platform across data management, use of CRM platforms, and reporting.
  • Create and present presentations to the Head of CRE and senior leadership within the business that clearly articulate the business story/strategy and provide insights and recommendations on financial and headcount management activities and trends.
  • Works closely with the financial planning and analytics function to assess business performance, define drivers of outcomes, document areas of opportunity, and execution plans to drive change.
  • Support all financial processes and reporting including actuals, budget, forecast of various financial and headcount metrics and scenarios/views including program/project, product taxonomy, and business case financials.
  • Identifies areas for continued process improvement and efficiency by generating innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Delivers end-to-end executive management reporting.


Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • BA / BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in strategy, financial planning, business management, or sales operations
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and execute strategic plans.
  • Proven work experience influencing others to initiate a recommended course of action.
  • Ability to partner across business lines and interact with and communicate to all levels of the organization, with strong executive presence.
  • Demonstrated acumen and comfort assessing financial performance.
  • Ability to define and deliver a strategic agenda across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on the audience.


Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Master's in Business Administration
  • Financial Services experience
