Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to help us build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our world-class betting platform.
The Cloud Platform Team manages the infrastructure that supports our global operations. This team is responsible for developing, operating, and enhancing our expanding Google Cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance for millions of customers.
The Cloud Platform Engineer plays a vital role in this ecosystem. This position involves writing, reviewing, and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage cloud resources, while supporting platform development and resolving complex technical incidents. It is a hands-on role that requires a blend of engineering expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation.
Qualifications- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and GKE
- Scripting capabilities in Python or Golang
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies
- Familiarity with service mesh and ingress technologies
- Ability to implement security protocols in public cloud environments
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex platform issues
- Experience with Linux CLI and automation tools
- Operating and monitoring critical infrastructure within the Google Cloud environment.
- Developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code to manage cloud resources.
- Resolving platform alerts and incidents to maintain system stability.
- Collaborating with internal teams to design and release quality deliverables.
- Automating manual processes using scripting languages like Python or Golang.
- Implementing security considerations and protocols across the platform.
- Coaching end-users on platform standards and best practices.
- Engaging in team ceremonies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Adhering to regulatory standards and internal security policies.
