Why this role matters

The Client Relationship Specialist is a client-facing role within the Client Relationships division focused on risk protection, client profiling, and structured relationship management for a defined portfolio of clients.

This role supports the long-term retention and integrity of the client base by:

  • ensuring accurate profiling and Source of Funds readiness,
  • maintaining consistent proactive engagement, and
  • safeguarding compliance with AML, KYC, and internal risk standards.

The role is based in our Malaysia office. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.

What you'll actually do
  • Manage a defined portfolio of clients with lower volume and higher monitoring depth.
  • Act as a primary remote relationship contact through calls, chats, and email.
  • Establish meaningful engagement cadence to maintain trust and visibility.
  • Proactively identify early churn or risk signals and escalate where required. 
  • Drive completion and accuracy of client profiling data across internal systems.
  • Support timely SDF and SOF preparation before regulatory or deposit thresholds.
  • Validate client information through direct interaction, documentation, and open-source checks.
  • Maintain clear justification records supporting profiling and SOF outcomes.
  • Provide high quality service to your dedicated top key value clients portfolio assigned and also exceptional services to a number of non-dedicated Clients ensuring queries and concerns are addressed efficiently and effectively.
  • Facilitate smooth client interactions across multiple communication channels while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
  • Communicate with clients via inbound chats, calls, outbound calls, callback requests, and face-to-face interactions, ensuring consistently high standards of communication and services
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring the collection of Source of Funds (SoF) documents and adherence to KYC requirements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory standards and ensure all interactions are compliant with company policies.
  • Identify and escalate potential compliance risks, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of the company’s products, services, and industry trends to provide value-driven solutions to clients.
  • Stay updated on market developments, compliance requirements, and best practices to ensure professional growth and adaptability.
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Investment licenses or financial certifications (e.g., CFA, CFP, Series licenses) are highly regarded.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in client relationships or relevant client-facing roles within the financial services industry.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Tableau, and other reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to resolve client issues efficiently under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of financial products and client lifecycle requirements.
  • Strong presentation skills in native language (Chinese) and English.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both native language (Chinese) and English.
  • Strong convincing, influencing, and client engagement abilities.
  • Persistence, critical thinking, and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task under high pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
