* Job Summary:
* We are seeking a motivated and skilled
* Software Engineer
* with 3+ years of experience and an active security clearance to support software development efforts for federal government programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in secure coding practices, system integration, and working within Agile or DevSecOps environments. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications that meet mission-critical requirements.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain software applications in support of federal systems and mission objectives.
* Write clean, efficient, and secure code using languages such as
* Java
* Python
* C#
* , or
* JavaScript
* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, systems engineering, and QA.
* Ensure software complies with federal security standards (e.g.,
* NIST
* FISMA
* FedRAMP
* DoD STIGs
* ).
* Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Maintain technical documentation and support configuration management processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum of
* 3 years of professional software development experience
* Active
* Secret
* security clearance.
* Experience developing software for federal agencies or defense programs.
* Familiarity with secure coding practices and federal compliance frameworks.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development frameworks.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Preferred Certifications:
* Security+
* Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
